On the top right corner of the page click on the "more...". You will see, among other stuff, how many threads you have started and how many posts you have generated.

Good post. I like the positive line of thinking, too.

"Gas prices are returning to normal"

What world are you living in?

I guess they are, if by "normal" you mean between $2.50 and $3.50 per gallon.

Don't forget the enclave in Jackson. The group of rich liberals from the west coast that bought up everything then put in such stringent zoning the domestic help has to travel 60 miles to work.

You're welcome. I just think we get so caught up with the 24 hour new cycle that we sometimes miss what is really going on. Things certainly aren't perfect but they certainly aren't as bad as some are willing to claim. Its like the Delay thing or the Rove thing, those are events that depend a lot on how Republicans respond. Republicans have a very bad tendancy to give in to allegations and ufair charges (Trent Lott) outright while Democrats have the exact opposite tendancy and even once caught red handed will still have an excuse ready (Robert Byrd, Bill Clinton, etc). We need to take the long view and realize that the best thing we can do is not except any Democrat charge at face value, look at the facts and reach our conclusions. When we fall prey to the media machine's attempt to manipulate public reaction it may not be the weakness of our leaders as much as it is the weakness of our heart and minds that determines what the prevailing public sentiment is.
