I have no objection to people praying for baby killers. Just so long as they don't VOTE for them!!!!

This is the kind of Roman Catholic that I can respect.
Totally.

An outstanding article about a very fine bishop. This is the first I have heard about this bishop, and I'm most impressed. I wish we had more like him.

As we all need prayer, I will do this but prayer is not enough for these pols - a new day job for these ungodly swine would be the real answer to prayer.

I've met Bishop Saltarelli several times. He's a very approachable man. He's the bishop of the diocese I grew up in, whose seat is in my hometown of Wilmington, DE. He's a great bishop. Before they moved the Youth Mass for the March of Life to the MCI Center a few years ago, the bishop presided at the Mass at St. Matthew's Cathedral in DC two years in a row in the late 90s. He stood behind a local private Catholic school's decision to fire a religion teacher after she signed an advertisement in the Wilmington News Journal in support of Roe vs. Wade on its 30th anniversary. He was sued by this teacher, but she lost in the courts.

Me, too and I do pray for those pro abortion Catholic politicians. However, they also need to have Our Lord's Supper kept from them until repentance is done.

I have no objection to people praying for baby killers. That is good...because the Lord commands us to love our enemies.
As for me, I pray for God's blessings on our enemies. I pray that they receive one of God's greatest gifts: an unrelenting conscience that will not be silenced by any excuse or equivocation.
May the Good Lord, in His infinite mercy, grant them just such a spiritual awakening. Amen.

"purgatory"
What is "purgatory"? I can't seem to find it in the Bible.

Nah....but I did find Psalm 139...."Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb"..."Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance".....the implication is clear....God made us, knew us before we were born, formed us....egro, abortion is evil.
purgatory?......show me.
