When 75 percent of New Orleans residents had left the city, it was primarily immoral, welfare-pampered blacks that stayed behind and waited for the government to bail them out. This, as we know, did not turn out good results.

This, as we know, is B.S. In Jesse's attempts to be the anti-Jesse, he destroys his credibility.

The largest percentage of black people that I saw on TV still in New Orleans during the week after the hurricane were old folks and people with children. How were they supposed to have gotten out of town if they had no car? The bus station shut down more than a full day before the hurricane even hit. And they certainly aren't to blame for the school busses that didn't get used (I guess some of those "immoral" blacks could have hotwired them, though.) The fact that he still pushes the canard that the Superdome was rife with rapes and murders shows that this Jesse is just as much a race-bating pimp as the other one.

This was, of course, posted twice before when it was more current and used the ORIGINAL title:

Not living in a hurricane area, for the next big one I would:
1. get there area as soon as possible,
2. build a quick 6X6 foot shanty,
3. evacuate,
4. report loss of house and personal effects,
5. collect my 2000 visa credit,
6. apply for 250000 rebuild money, and
7. go to Disney World.

Did I miss anything?

"He says what no white man could politically say and survive"

That's why the "b;ack street" will immediately label him an Oreo. (eg. Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice).

They're following the wrong leaders.

My "beef" so to speak, is not necessarily with the people of New Orleans. Their leadership failed miserably. They life below sea level and it was no secret that a hurricane of this magnitude would be disastrous.
The city leaders had plenty of time to evacuate most folks.

I looked again at WND and they have some formatting problem since the original was posted that has eliminated the original title, so it's not entirely your fault.

I think this guy may have the answer to saving the black population from the big government nanny. He says what no white man could politically say and survive.

================================================

BOND is a tiny organization that has zero following within its own community. Peterson began his public career with no agenda other than to gain notoriety for himself by hounding Jesse Jackson. His "national repudiate Jesse Jackson day" campaign lasted five years and consisted of him and a half-dozen others standing on a street corner with signs long enough to take some pictures. One wonders who pays their bills.

This piece perfectly illustrates why JLP's listenership includes no measurable percentage of his community; it is racist, insulting, hyperbolic, in some cases demonstrably false and, in its primary underlying assumption, based on legend not fact (we all blamed the MSM for spreading the lies about the "rape, theft and murder" in the superdome and the CC - but we applaud Peterson for condemning it...which is it?.)

Peterson is Roy Innes redux and BOND is CORE redux. CORE never had a following and never accomplished a thing other than to garner the applause of Whites whose own beliefs about Blacks are 'proven' by a Black man saying what they want to hear in these sorts of racist diatribes. BOND will accomplish nothing either.

There are more and more Black Americans turning our way, some of them are regular and respected freepers. Nobody ever changed anybody's philosophy by insulting that person's core-identity group. Hoisting JLP on a high-profile platform just to have him throw broad-stroke insults will not encourage anyone to join us, it will only cause them to reject the messenger and the message.

>>>The first response would have come from black men. They would take care of their families, bring them to safety, and then help the rest of the community. Then local government would come in.

Jabbar Gibson's first time behind the wheel of a school bus was spent transporting dozens of people from New Orleans to the Reliant Astrodome.

A True Leader!!!!

This was not always the case. Prior to 40 years ago, such a pathetic performance by the black community in a time of crisis would have been inconceivable.

Thanks Jesse! Maybe Al can continue your "work"./sarc off

I am unaware of BOND. Thanks for the information.
I would, however, take a slightly different position on a couple of comments.

Nobody ever changed anybody's philosophy by insulting that person's core-identity group.
Your point is well taken. However, to dance around the problem, (ie government dependence) will never solve any problem.
This attitude that it is the governments responsibility to take care on me fosters laziness and irresponsibility. As pointed out by a couple of other posters, there were people in New Orleans who stepped up to the plate and by taking matters into their own hands, probably saved many lives.
Unfortunately they were too few and too far between.
Just slide over to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Complete devastation in many areas. You don't here too much whining about "where is the government" from them.
In my neighborhood, we were not devastated but several had significant damage. We took care of each other.
Good or bad, his point is good for all people. There is no substitute for preparation and taking care of yourself.

Cordially,
GE

It took a mere three days for blacks to turn the Superdome and the convention center into ghettos, rampant with theft, rape and murder.

This is what I was referring to....
