Dear Child,

Our Governor, a.k.a. the Carpet Bagger from Texas, recently stated that Florida didn't need any more protection from Eminent Domain abuses. He did say it, I am not making this up.

Jeb Bush is, I am sorry to have to tell you, a skilled, nationally recognized practitioner of Eminent Domain abuse.

How did you think that stadium in Texas was built? Those homes were condemned under Eminent Domain, and Jeb did well from the grabbing of those people's homes to build that stadium in Texas.

Isn't it ironic that the black population in Florida is now going to get the same abuse heaped on them which was visited upon Connecticut whites?

Liberalism - the real equal opportunity abuser of your Constitutional Guarantees.

After Kelo, and now Riviera Beach, one can make a case that Eminent Domain abuse is truly color blind. But somehow I don't think Martin Luther King would like what is happening in Riviera Beach.

This is less King's "I have a dream" than it is Jessie jackson's "I have a scheme."

"Crack! Snap! "Out of your homes, slaves!" Yass, Massa Developer. Doan use no mo that Eminent Domain whip, please Massa Developer!

It seems Eminant Domain abuse is now busy making slaves of all, white, and black alike.

The whirling sound you hear is King revolving rapidly in his grave. The low pitched sound of distress is Conservatives hurling across the Fruited Plain.
/sarc off

PS Before any lurkin Liberal whines about the whip line, that was suggested by a black friend from college who is madder than the proverbial boiled owl over Kelo.

As he put it "Some Lib's house will be next. Since he didn't speak out before, who will speak up to defend the Lib when Eminent Domain comes for him?"

WTH are you yapping about? First of all, Jeb didn't have anything to do with the stadium in Texas. As for you comment on protection:

State officials on Friday denounced a U.S. Supreme Court ruling giving local governments the authority to raze people's homes for private development and vowed to pass laws protecting property rights.

Gov. Jeb Bush called the decision "horrible" and said he'll urge the Florida Legislature to take quick action.

"This is not the proper role for eminent domain," Bush said. "We will pass legislation, and I think there will be broad support for it in the Legislature."

SP Times

As for him being a "carpetbagger", he moved to Florida in 1981 and joined the Codina Group, a real estate development company. He became Secretary of Commerce under governor Bob Martinez in 1987 and was the Republican nominee for governor in 1994, losing to incumbent Lawton Chiles. In 1998 he became the governor of Florida. IOW, he was in Texas for 17 years before he became Governor. That does not fit the definition of a carpetbagger.
