Ann Coulter just took apart President Bush's SCOTUS nominee on the air during her appearance on the Mike Rosen show here in Denver on 850am KOA. She called for listeners to write their senators to oppose the nomination. Wish you could have heard it!

Ann said - "Totally unqualified", called Judge Roberts "a 'dream' candidate in light of this nomination", mentioned "cronyism" over and over. Much more that I'm trying to digest. I called the station to see if they saved the audio, but no luck on that. Mike Rosen was just about speechless as Ann went on and on about why this was a lousy choice.

I agree with Ann. Huge mistake and missed opportunity.

Ann's choice, Janice Rodgers-Brown. Not enough intestinal fortitude in the White House to go with that choice.

Can't wait for Ann's column on this nomination later this week.

Worth amplifying, especially since so many people here seem to be under the impression that being a good Christian somehow qualifies you for a seat on the Supreme Court, in spite of any other demerits.

Every time I hear her speak I can't help but feel sorry for the poor guy who'll get stuck with her as a wife someday (if she likes boys). I do not understand why so many find her appealing. You couldn't get me drunk enough to find that hag attractive. The rule ought to be to never post her picture on these threads.

Republicans missed an opportunity to have a public debate on what they stand for, presumably the founding traditions of our country and the Constitution.

Looks like Ann has once again placed more importance on her EGO than on the conservative movement! She continues to break Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment. She did the same thing when she blasted Karl Rove for not winning the 2004 election by a larger margin. At times, she appears to be a cancer on the conservative movement. "Ann, can you just once keep your anorexic pie hole shut and pick some wiser battles?!"

Her point was that there are numerous other women-even some that happen to Pentecostal, evangelical Christians-who are much more qualified than Harriet Miers.

WRONG! By then you will be doing a big mea culpa, after having seen Meir's votes, confirming Bush was strategically brilliant.

You guys crack me up. Silly, think about it. In 10 years (quoting the VP), it will BE TOO LATE. You will be the minority party once again. So you can say, "I told you so" and I will say, "I'm sorry" - but we will both be looking back and wondering why the President was so reckless with such an important constitutional, AND political choice.

The fact is, the President had an opportunity to have his cake and eat it too... and instead he acted like a political neophyte. Brilliant indeed. Ticking off half of your base AT THE SAME TIME that you are being called an idiot by your enemies does not equate to brilliance unless you are dim witted.
