Ann Coulter just took apart SCOTUS nominee on the Mike Rosen show (My report)
Ann Coulter's appearance on the Mike Rosen show, 850am KOA ^ | This morning, Mon. Oct. 4th | Report from Mike Rosen show

Posted on 10/04/2005 10:39:32 AM PDT by ajolympian2004

Ann Coulter just took apart President Bush's SCOTUS nominee on the air during her appearance on the Mike Rosen show here in Denver on 850am KOA. She called for listeners to write their senators to oppose the nomination. Wish you could have heard it!

Ann said - "Totally unqualified", called Judge Roberts "a 'dream' candidate in light of this nomination", mentioned "cronyism" over and over. Much more that I'm trying to digest. I called the station to see if they saved the audio, but no luck on that. Mike Rosen was just about speechless as Ann went on and on about why this was a lousy choice.

I agree with Ann. Huge mistake and missed opportunity.

Ann's choice, Janice Rodgers-Brown. Not enough intestinal fortitude in the White House to go with that choice.

Can't wait for Ann's column on this nomination later this week.

Actually, Clinton DID get together with Republicans before nominating Ginsburg. Hatch has admitted that he suggested Ginsburg to Clinton, believe it or not.

That is a cheap shot at Ann

My beef with Ann is that she isn't giving me anything to say that Miers is a bad choice

And that revenge comment she made is pure BS

Ok, AC graduated at the top of her law class. Good for her. There is no timeline in her official bio. Evidently she didn't stay in private practice very long, nor did she stay with some individual rights group very long. Would someone point to any successes she had in those endeavors. Any court room battles won. Anything that would qualify her as an authority on battles chosen, battles won.

Can we amend the rules for Ann's pic? I'm just sick of looking at her and being reminded of her destructive rhetoric? "I move that we strike her picture from this thread." "Do I hear a second?"

Stuck on stupid?

I would rather think a large percent of the base sees this for what it is. A very big slap in the face. If you do not stand and fight for your principles then you have no principles.

Thanks, I just try to apply some rudimentary logic as I see it.

Stifling debate and changing the subject however, are tactics used by operatives and spinmeisters.

We like to avoid that sort of stuff on this forum...in theory.

Coulter was also on Hannity's radio program today.

She is not a happy camper with this nomination.

Then why wasn't she nominated?

If that is the sole criterion for selection, then I imagine that Judge Owen would be just as capable of serving in this capacity.

I'm sure that Harry Reid would have been elated.

I say nominate Ann for the Supreme Court. Now those hearings would be fun to watch. Can you imagine her ripping Chucky Shumer or Ted Kennedy?

I think Bush knows the Republicans in the Senate are TOO WEAK, and so Bush is just trying to get anyone through.

Pricilla Owen received a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, from Baylor University, and graduated in the top of her class from Baylor Law School in 1977, receiving a juris doctor, cum laude.

Ann Coulter was just on Hannity, griping that Miers didn't go to a "top law school." It came across as elitist

I couldn't believe she made that comment ... it was a cheap snobbiest shot

By the time a person is 60 years old, the least relevant thing about them is where they went to college.

I was there. Apparently you weren't and have to find an article that supports you feeeelings?

Conservatives supported Thomas even before he came before the Judiciary Committee following Anita Hill's allegations.
