Give me a break... what if she were a he.. 60 would not seem too old???

This is the usual slop about how old women are... I am about her age and I have never felt better, worked harder, been more productive, going to school to get a new SEC license, into my third career, have a terrific social life.. and by the way.. a very active sex life - thanks to my "old" spouse... the spouse is older but still chases me around the room... I occasionally let him catch me...

Mike, get a life and hope you can be as intelligent, visionary and productive as us old folks.. but then.. if you think life is over for anyone over 50.. you are destined to have a miserable old age.. so just go jump in front of a very fast moving train... ASAP

Women live longer. And SC justices tend to live a loing time, anyway.

A lot of folks had trouble with Reagan's age too. Not a valid arguement. IMHO

To what purpose then require the co-operation of the Senate? I answer, that the necessity of their concurrence would have a powerful, though, in general, a silent operation. It would be an excellent check upon a spirit of favoritism in the President, and would tend greatly to prevent the appointment of unfit characters from State prejudice, from family connection, from personal attachment, or from a view to popularity. In addition to this, it would be an efficacious source of stability in the administration.

Does anyone else on here, besides all the other reasons against her, see a problem with her age

Bush is very comfortable with old people. Look at his cabinet -- they are older than Brezhnev's Politburo.
