I pledge allegiance to the Constitution of the United States of America. And to the Republic which it guides, One Nation, under G-d, Indivisible and if you don't like it, you know where the exit is

That's about it. I pledge MY allegiance to America, a Constitutional Republic. I pledge my allegiance to the constitution that is our bedrock, our foundation. Our country continues with God's grace, whether idiots like Newdow like it or not.

Those that fight the pledge obviously are NOT pledging to be Americans, IMO. I like to ask them where they pledge their allegiance and get no answers. I'm not surprised. They are tied up with the religious part, not realizing that they are denouncing the very country that allows them the free speech to do so.

Let Newdow fear the "justice for all" part the most.

Time for Newdow to move elsewhere.

"The whole point of the pledge was to unify the students, and it's not," Newdow said outside the hearing Wednesday. "(The pledge) has become divisive, not so much because it has been the atheists who have become discriminated (against), and they don't have so much of a voice"

What does he mean "they don't have so much of a voice"? The atheists have the entire main stream media and most of the Dem party as a voice

"One good thing about Newdow is the fact that he's too arrogant or stupid to keep his true agenda to himself."

And why hasn't he hooked up with Cindy Sheehan yet??? Their combined arrogance AND stupidity is off the charts. I sort of hope they get married because no two people deserve each other more. Scum and Scummier

I pledge allegiance to the flags
of the United Earth Consciousness,
and to the multi-species biosphere for which it stands;
One planet, in the crucible, under a tyrannical moron,
but soon with diversity and social justice for all.

He said that it's impractical to just change the pledge because children everybody but him will continue to say "under God" out of habit or under protest.

DAMN STRAIGHT!

At the FReep in Wash DC on 9/24 we said the Pledge. And when we got to this part, everybody yelled, "UNDER GOD!!!" as loud as they could. It was awesome and heart warming.

Liberal do not believe in God, because they believe they are God. Newdow thinks he is smarter than those who came before him. What a cocky SOB. With all the problems of the world he is dwelling on this. Must be nice to have nothing better to do than attack the icons of a culture.
In addition, what is missing is that when “under God” was put in the pledge in the early 1950’s it had a Supreme Court Review and was found to be constitutional. So what has changed in 50 years?

But if the Christians and the people who believe in God want to start throwing 'God' in there, the pledge will be continuing 'one nation indivisible,' while someone is saying 'under God.' And I think it's going to be a mess, and I think we're going to have to get rid of it."

Wouldn't it be easier to get rid of him instead of the pledge of allegiance ?

I was thinking most anything in a 0.45" diameter would be sufficient and appropriate.

Agree, but if nothing else, I want to initiate a class action suit against Newdow for causing my headache and upset stomach.

Typical lefty.

Protest only allowed until they win.

Then everybody else: shut up and obey.
