... Check out Arizona...
How do you argue with a guy whose ability to reason is limited to Republican appointment=Souter. If you have reason (not innuendo) to doubt that Miers is a conservative, for God's sake, speak up! But that's the problem, too many people are yapping about it when they little idea of what they are talking about.
His defense of Miers isn't a black mark on her though. He's just trying to cover for the damage his gang has caused.
Sen. Lindsey Graham is calling on the three judge panel overseeing the investigation of Independent Counsel David Barrett to release Barrett's final report, which reportedly includes evidence of political motivated IRS audits launched by the Clinton administration. "We spent $22 million [on Barrett's investigation]. We ought to be able to read the report," Graham told Fox News Radio's Tony Snow on Friday. (snip) The Clinton's Washington firm, Williams and Connolly, has pressed the three judge panel to delete damaging portions of Barrett's report, arguing that allegations of illegal activity, for which no charges were filed, should be snipped before the report is made public. "We're told the Barrett report will be an eye-opener," the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday. "It is the first time the IRS has ever been investigated using grand jury subpoena powers."
Lindsey Graham is among my least favorite Republican Senators. I liked him when he was in the House and going after Clinton, but he has turned into a real wuss.
Furthermore she is going to be a fine pick and it is these Senators themselves who didn't give him the fillibuster-proof option to begin with -
Republican Senators are pathetic - They have been cowards when it comes to the most important issue facing this Nation - The GWOT - They have not stood tall and shouted our successes - They have allowed the Dem's and MSM to lie continually against our successes as well as lie about the premise of the GWOT (including Iraq). All the while they've remain virtually silent.
Uh, Paul, ... you might want to have a 3,000 mile check on your memory.
Graham needs to be made to understand that his political future is tied to Harriet Miers. She's another Scalia or he loses his job.
You know we're all guilty of assuming that a person capable of running for and winning a U.S. Senate seat would be smart. Look at the clown both parties have put up there. And some of them are the ones saying Miers is not qualified. Some of them couldn't work at Wal-Mart. So much for a college education.
Here! Here!
LG has his moments but any conservative whose least favorite senator is not Lincoln Chafee ain't worth listening to.
Just do a search on "Roberts" here and you'll see that it pretty much did, or read Coulter's columns on Roberts.
Graham is fine. His ACU numbers are good, he's right on 95% of the issues. His strategy is off every so often, and he's made some statements I don't care for, but he's hardly a bad Senator, or even a bad conservative.
And even if he was, Chafee would be much, much, much worse.
So many to choose from: Lott, Frist, Specter, DeWine ... the list goes on. I guess Graham makes my top ten, but the competition is tough, folks.
McCAIN
[My least favorite Republican Senator] is Lindsey Graham, and by a decent margin. Today, the Senator told conservative critics of the Miers nomination to "shut up
Mine are Mike Dewine and George Voinovich.
It was part of a longer argument.
Let's not jump on his case until we hear the entire segment.
