Did you request MOOSEMUSS?
http://mysandmen.blogspot.com/2005/10/applying-principles-of-war-to-harriet.html
Well, make up your mind! Does it belong under Bloggers/Personal, or does it belog under General/Chat? And why would the News category have a Vanities subcategory if no Vanity should ever be posted under News?
If only we could plumb the depth of Jim Robison's soul we might untangle this mystery. Or maybe we could just read the whole paragraph:
"Lately, we have been seeing articles posted that should be comments made on the main article. Your comment/vanity article will be pulled or moved to General/Chat. Vanities should be limited to the mission of Free Republic."
O, I see... he's fed up with people posting questions and comments about news stories as if they were separate threads, when they're only comments about existing threads.
; and that some posts are in accord with the mission of Free Republic.
He did say, "non-sourced non-news" threads. It's definitely non-sourced, but is it non-news? Like I explained, the motive for posting it as news was its timeliness. But does news include news analysis? I'll concede that it is a judgment call that this is news.
Well, the article did get way over 1,000 hits, definitely in the top few percent of most viewed stories. And it had a headline guaranteed to attract the eye of a moderator. And yet it wasn't banished by the official judges. How are we to decide whether it's news or not?
I have an idea! Why don't you shut the hell up and mind your own business?
1. Read
2. Weep
3. Get a life. If the moderators wanted this to be moved to General/Chat, they'd have done so by now.
There's always hope. But these self-appointed moderators have a very strong reason for keeping up their antics. It's the same agenda that politicians have behind the CFR-Incumbent Protection Act: They're quite happy with the corrupt status quo, and don't have much tolerance for the peons raising any challenges to it.
Not bad. But you'll probably have the party over principle types pushing the abuse button like a heroin addict pushes the morphine button in the hospital.
Dubba's in a flame war!!!!!!!!!
