Reverend Jesse Jackson and the Rainbow Coalition brought about 200 people to town Tuesday to find jobs reconstructing New Orleans, but most of those talked to by Eyewitness News were not displaced residents.

Jackson organized the bus tour, which began in Chicago Monday, as an attempt to bring displaced residents back to participate in the rebuilding of the city. When pressed as to how many of the job seekers were from the New Orleans area, Jackson said he didn’t know.

This is as sad as it is hilarious. JJ is going to drop these people like rocks as soon as the cameras are gone. I hope those actually interested in finding jobs and homes do so because the bus will have left the station.

On a different note; did anyone see Jesse on CNN a few nights ago? Was it me, or did he look like he was slurring his speech? Something didn't seem quite right(no pun intended)

Yes, displaced from Chicago and their goal isn't to work in N.O., but to vote dim in N.O. and Chicago too.

Just another of Jacksons scams. These people will be writing home for bus fare back before the weeks out.

WWL-TV. Is that New Orleans? I wish the reporter would do us a big favor and actually follow these people and document their experience. I imagine they will find jobs. But where will they live? When will they see those 6 kids again? Hmmmm? Obvious question, where are those kids?

Won't happen.

Obvious question, where are those kids?

Probably with family in the Chicago area, making new friends and getting comfortable with their new surroundings. Kids probably won't be too keen on moving back and having to adapt, yet again, to a foreign atmosphere that NO will be. Some folks will realize that too much has changed in NO and won't want to go back. Others will have to go back and see it for themselves.

Jesse Jackasses' Rainbow Theft Coalition gets hundreds of millions in hush/blackmail money and this is all they can muster? I've seen poor southern churches get more people on a bus. What's up Jesse? Losing your sway? Hmmm?

Stereotype flaming Jesse 'Blood Diamonds' Jackson just assumed that black people all look alike and no one would notice.

He didn't lose his sway. He will bill FEMA for travel and expenses anyway.
