-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Jersey's governor's race, once considered a Democratic lock, is now in a dead heat with four weeks to go before the Nov. 8 off-year election, a new independent poll shows. Republican business executive Doug Forrester has gained significant ground on Democratic Sen. Jon Corzine, whose once double-digit lead has dwindled to a 44 percent to 43 percent statistical dead heat, according to a WNBC/Marist poll of 600 registered voters. "What was supposed to be a coronation is actually turning into a bloody duel. Two weeks ago, I had Corzine ahead of Forrester by seven or eight points, so there isn't a doubt in my mind that this latest poll is accurate," said independent pollster John Zogby.

GO, FORRESTER!
(but watch those Cemetery Voters showing up at the
polls...again!)
I delayed moving and the closing on the sale of my home by a week so that my wife and I could vote for Forrester.
Democrat heavies will stuff the ballott box, ensuring a Corzine win. The voter fraud will be obvious, but of course, calling for an investigation will be 'sour grapes' and 'racist.'
My prediction (worthless as it might be) is Corzine by 5 points. There will be so many dead people voting you will think that it's the resurrection.
I hope Forrester gets in and reduces property taxes. Maybe that will keep them from coming over to Pennsylvania.
If Corzine loses the Governor's race, will there be people lining up to oppose him for reelection in 2006 for the Senate?
I hope the tide is turning.
That's very noble, but probably unnecessary. In New Jersey, you are allowed to vote for up to 20 years after moving out of the state. If you die, you can only vote for 10 years. Of course, you'd have to vote democrat in those cases, so maybe hanging out for an extra week is a good idea. :)
Corruption .... New Jersey politics ...... liberalss
Corruption .... Louisiana politics ...... liberalss
Corruption ...voter fraud ..... Clintons ..... democrats aka liberal politicians everywhere ..........
Corzine bought his way into the Senate. Corzine is a crook, will stop at nothing to get what he wants, and is a typical elitist lefty liberal in the Democratic Party. Democrats better wake up or the party will be history. We need opposition. We need debate. We need honesty. The dems oppose everything unless they are the presenters. The want power back because corruption works better when you are in power.
Bingo for beards.
Gee, I thought the GOP was in trouble everywhere! This is why Democrats never see it coming. New Jersey will get the government they deserve. If they keep voting for Corzine despite his demonstrated corruption, well...
And don't forget......
if you're a Democrat and losing....you get a mulligan....
Forrester already has experience with that fact.
But, you're right, there's always a chance we could move back...
P.S. I heard PA property taxes are just as high nowadays, and some of your state's laws have become far more restrictive than ours. So, I don't think you'll have to worry about a mass exodus over the Walt Whitman. :-)

10 years!
I thought in some NJ counties you could still vote until the ink on the death certificate was no longer legible. That is how Carter got elected via a last minute surge from the FDR era deceased.
I would like to think Forrester could pull this out, but its New Jersey. A year ago, everyone was excited because Bush was close in some polls in NJ. Didn't happen, and I don't think it will happen this time.
LOL! Hope it holds.... And the voters of NJ do see the light.
