No run-ins with NPD. Every encounter so far has been fine (they were extremely helpful when our truck was broken into--and very polite).

I haven't moderated my views at all since my early posts, either. I think at least one and possibly more of these guys is in this up their eyeballs.

As I said before, the only difference between the two of us is that I've "jumped" to a different conclusion than you did. I jumped after seeing what evidence there is. Your reasons for jumping might be the same, or might not, you haven't said.

The only conclusion I've jumped to so far is that I don't know why this happened, and I still don't know exactly what happened, or who all was or was not involved. I've inspected and photographed the site, and I have some experience in doing such things, and evaluating the effectiveness of explosives from my years as a USAF photographer.

Despite my conviction that not all Muslims are terrorists, I'm also aware that some are, so I'm waiting for further developments there, rather than concluding that this must be a terrorist act. I'm also aware that some Americans are or have been terrorists, so I am aware that Hinrichs could have been a terrorist, too. Use of explosives in suicide is fairly rare in the US, but not completely unheard of, either, so I'm still waiting for more facts.

My only conclusion, in other words, is that it's too early to reach a conclusion with the facts available.
