A suspended Minnesota Vikings player is the defendant in a civil suit filed today in Hennepin County District Court.
A 21 year old Richfield woman is accusing Onterrio Smith of sexual assault in another Vikings apartment on June 12, 2004.
In an exclusive interview with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, the womans attorney spoke about the case and the victim.
I think shes a credible person. Ive talked to her family members who saw her the night that it happened. Ive seen the medical records. I think shes believable, said attorney Lori Peterson.
The victim alleges that she was drinking with Smith and another Vikings player when she passed out. She later woke up and said both players were on top of her. The woman has fetal alcohol syndrome.
Onterrio Smith was suspended when he was caught going through an airport with a whizzinator, a device used to beat drug tests.

The hits just keep on comin'. If Zygi doesn't do something in the next few days, the future for the Vikes looks pretty bad. His options IMO are to fire Tice and the players involved, or move the team. The tide of public opinion is shifting away from these clowns. Enough is enough.

How would that work? I've been trying to envision the scene. How big is this woman?

Toss the asault charge.
Too late to whine about it now.
But, toss him out of the league for carrying that whizzinator.

This franchise is in a free-fall.
What's the over-under on Tice's remaining time as coach? Ticket-scalping, losing record, public sex on the boat, and now this.
Someone's gotta be thinking its time to make a change up there.

I really am hoping they get rid of Tice.
Bad coach ---- I still cannot get over that he planned his whole offensive strategy (in year's past) on the "RANDY FACTOR"
Which may explain why they are doing so badly now.
