Grim relics
The Washington Times ^ | 10-14-05 | Arnold Beichman

"Our country has been shaken by strife, but only a few people were held accountable for that in our lifetime," said Georgi Poltavchenko, the Russian president's aide. "I do not think it is fair that those who initiated the strife remain in the center of our state near the Kremlin." Khrushchev in 1962 ordered Stalin's remains removed from Lenin's Tomb, implying Lenin's remains were still sacred. But if Leninism had lost its importance in Russian political thought at the highest levels, if Russian public opinion abominated Lenin's memory, the founder of the Soviet Union would have been reburied in some cemetery faraway — as Boris Yeltsin reportedly once intended — in a symbolic act of desecration.

The only places left where a Commie gets honoured properly is H'wood and any university economics department (except maybe Chicago and Amherst).

And Chas, old boy: do put a sock in it. We do not need to see Helen, "the face that lunched a thousand skips." People shall now look on this thread and go forth, attempting to gouge their very eyes out after sighting that Gorgon.

I suggest they rebury Lenin under a random Siberian Gulag and forget which one.

18F,

My most sincere apology. I just couldn't resist. Sometimes evil spirits just enter my head and make me do these things.

Your pal,
SirChas

"Hollywood never makes anti-communist movies either."

And you will not see one soon or possibly ever. For Hollywood to make an accurate portrayal of Communism and of all of it's horrifying crimes, the left would have to confront a mirror. I consider many Democrats to be accomplices to the murder and profound torture of millions of human being in Eastern Europe and Asia. I suspect that I am not the only one. It is the reflection of themselves that they are so afraid of. They are afraid of confirming that they are monsters by association. The Democrats supported communism fully from it's inception, and lightly supported it when it became unfashionable in the 1950's, and came back out of the closet in the late 1960's onward. They have been in bed with a monster for many years. The oceans of blood is on the hands of many Democrat hero's. And so long as Hollywood, the academic mob, and the establishment media can, they will cover and obfuscate this historical fact.

From the article:
"All over Russia and Ukraine you will find statues of a man responsible for a tragedy that afflicted the people of the once Soviet Union for 70 years. This monster inspired an even greater tragedy for the people of Communist China because his heritage still dominates that vast land. It is an obscenity that the cadavers of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin and Mao Tse-tung are entombed in shrines open for public viewing."

In spite of the lefts best efforts, there is indeed a God. And he sees to it that justice is meted out in one form or another. The truth always outs itself with the helping hand of the Creator. The Democrats have not buried the truth. They have only been digging their own graves. Only they have been digging for many years, and they have been digging very deeply in the cemetery of failed ideas.

I think Lenin had asked to be buried next to his mother in a cemetery in St. Petersburg, but the Bolshevik leaders chose to do otherwise. They could just carry out his wishes belatedly. Of course they might need to put an iron fence around the gravesite in case people walk their dogs in that cemetery.
