RINO Connecticut Congressman Chris Shays just completed an interview on Fox & Friends Weekend focusing on today's election in Iraq on approval of its proposed constitution.
In singing the constitution's praises, Shays gushed that it was "huge" that it requires that 25% of Iraqi's congressional seats be reserved for women. Shays decried that in comparison, "only 16%" of US congressmen are women.
Really, Chris? Hard quotas are "huge"? So you would favor that here? Then why stop with sex-based quotas? Why not seats reserved on the basis of race, religion and who knows what else? Don't Tampa Bay Devil Ray fans deserve a guaranteed voice in DC, for example?
For that matter, why wait for our constitution to be changed to reflect your quota-loving views?
If you're so upset over the mere 16% female representation in Congress, why not take matters into your own hands? Resign today and support a woman to replace you!
Having Shays in CT does not serve the party... or the nation. He's a spineless, sniveling wuss, interested only in appeasing his liberal constituency.

It's positively amazing to see all the secular Rats getting religion. They see that political salvation demands admitting that Bush was right and democracy and liberty have come to Iraq.
I say "have come" because "are coming" isn't correct. The Rat senator from the Massachuttes provence of Rhode Island sounded like a member of the White House staff in his gushing love for the liberty on display in Iraq.
He sure talks like one.
The only problem with reserving 25% of the seats for women is that it also may have the affect of restricting women to those few seats. However, in a society where women are treated only slightly better than dogs, it is a vast and significant improvement of their status.
STOP making sense!

You'd think Chris would appear with a little egg on his face, as he practically had Libby in handcuffs last week. Did he not read Miller's article before appearing on the Today Show?
Matthews made a Saturday TODAY Show appearance? He's all over the place isn't he?
I can't offer proof, but I bet Miller's NYT column for Sunday was posted online hours after the TODAY Show ended.
Yes that makes sense which means by Monday evening, the egg will harden on his face.
How very interesting that this RINO suddenly pretends to care about women. This from the same man who openly admitted he believed Xlintoon violently raped Juanita twice, yet couldn't see fit to vote to impeach.
