Rep Weldon to give major House Floor speech on Able Danger momentarily; ON CSPAN NOW
CSPAN ^ | October 19, 2005

Posted on 10/19/2005 4:59:18 PM PDT by TomGuy

Rep. Kirt Weldon is on Michael Savage's radio program, and he is implying Rumsfeld is the one blocking further investigation into Able Danger.

Weldon is fuming; says he personally (in a committee hearing) asked Rumsfeld about the investigation being blocked. Rumsfeld replied that he would 'get back to Weldon with a response.' Weldon says he still has gotten nothing from Rumsfeld.

Weldon to give a speech in a few moments this evening on the floor of the House. It should be aired on CSPAN this evening.

In my opinion, the talk shows are getting lazy, it amazes me that the same station will have 3 hosts in a row, discuss the same "nothing" subject.

I do not watch TV, haven't for years, but do listen to talk shows, all over the dial, all of them.

It is as tho they have to use 3 hours and not say anything worth while......

And then all of a sudden there will be one that makes up for
all the others.

It is a long and well-established tradition on Free Republic to use italics to clearly seperate your reply from the post to which you are replying.

I did address you and your post.

You used the despicable term "politcally infirm" to describe the Able Danger affair. It is a callous term, from the prior epoch of the polity when MSM owned all political commentary -- they had the sole franchise, the monopoly, they spoke "out of the Cathedral", popes of all political and cultural understandings.

Why did you do so? I give an answer -- why else? Why else but that you supported Clinton, for by dismissing Able Danger you aid the cover up of the total recklessness of the Clintons, their cabal, and their willing also-corrupted allies in media and institutions.

I have found you. This is my hello.

We're not playing poker here, we are dealing with the life and death of this civilization.

By reputation, the President was a very avid and skillful
poker player when he was an MBA student. One of the
secrets of a successful poker player is to encourage your
opponent to bet a lot of chips on a losing hand. This is a
pattern of behavior one sees repeatedly in George W.
Bush’s political career. He is not one to loudly proclaim his
strengths at the beginning of a campaign. Instead, he
bides his time, does not respond forcefully, at least at
first, to critiques from his enemies, no matter how loud
and annoying they get. If anything, this apparent
passivity only goads them into making their case more
emphatically.<<<<<<

Thank you, I did not have proof, only a hunch that he would
be a good poker player.....

The above would describe what Kerry and the others did to themselves in the last election.

I find it funny, now if he would close the borders, oh well, he will one of these days.

YOU are very very mistaken. I have never used that term "politically infirm" in my life. I AM NO Clinton supporter. I am a conservative Republican. The post to which you originally replied was NOT mine. I tried politely to tell you that. This is my goodbye.

Forgive me for not using italics. Mea maxima culpa! I did doublespace to separate my response in #601 from that post to which I was responding, #571. You might look at 571 and 601 again. You will see that I did not say that of which you accuse me. I copied and pasted that line from post 571.
