watching Tucker Carlson live on MSNBC:

Lawrence O'Donnell tells Tucker Carlson he expected perjury charges or lying to FBI agents.
that's separate crimes.

O'Donnell says Rove did not tell FBI he had a conversation with Matt Cooper.

Possible Charges "peripheral to the issue he was appointed to investigate

Tucker Carlson says Fitzgerald knows the identify of the original leaker to Novak, and it isn't someone inside the White House.

I agree with you. Rush is going to be right along side of us fighting the fight and I, for one, am glad he is. I also think this, if it actually happens, will bring us together. We're like family. We can snipe at each other but don't let somebody from outside try it. :)

From down here in the swamp it appears that half of congress and a few of the press have known that Wilson's wife was in the CIA. This is another witch hunt.

It depends. But I do think it is possible.

After Goldwater/Rockefeller it took a Reagan. At least that is what I have gleaned from speaking to people here.

I don't know what it will take this time.

quid,

You were the big hit with "This is an unmitigated disaster and could ultimately lead to the impeachment of President Bush."

I am still cracking up. Now if it comes true, no laughing matter, but until then....LOL!!!!

While we were out working to get GWB re-elected and then celebrating the success - the evil ones have been plotting this for a while - bringing all the necessary players in....much like al queda and 9/11. We cannot let anything go unanswered again.

I have to tell you, that I have been praying for the President harder than I ever have before. I honestly believe that it will be divine intervention that keeps this boat afloat.

You are spot on. I, for one, have slacked off on this thinking all is well. Well, evil is still afoot and is clearly seeking destruction. Time to get back on my knees in support of this President. Thank you for the insight.

It is possible, and what the Dems have been gunning for.

Hopefully, no one was that stupid.

ROFLMAO, Lawrence O'Donnell is not exactly a rational man

On another subject,..... Have you noticed how much air time Sucker Carlson is giving to the hard left wingnuts spokes people for the Kerry Campaign?

I am not convinced that Rove or Libby is going to be indicted, but I do know that if Rove gets a target letter, he will resign before the indictments come down. This IMO leads me to think that Rove has not received any target letter and that much of this NYT piece is wishful thinking.

OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF........geez

I understood what you were saying and read it without noticing the omission at first. I leave out words like that all the time. Of course, yours this time was funnier..:-)

"O'Donnell says Rove did not tell FBI he had a conversation with Matt Cooper. "

Forgetting one of a thousand calls is not a crime. Rove brought it forward to Fitz, not the other way around (at least to media reports).

I still think Rove is ok. Libby, who knows? But I never really knew who the h*ll Libby was before all of this either. Unless Rove is indicted, the lefties will be p*ssed.

i have great faith in ourselves . but if charges hit the WH this will be a lot for most digest. i would have more faith if the prez dumps new tone and brings in real lawyers and a flock of hard-nosed and fearless private investigators.

"I'll take "Felonies" for $1000, Alex."
"This man is currently spending 5 years in a pound me in the ass federal prison..."
"Who is Karl Rove?!"
Oh...Sorry,
The Correct answer is Who is Joe Wilson?
Who also is noted as saying "Who is Valerie Plame? My wife is Mrs. Wilson."

And Lawrence O'Donnell said that Rove's attorney is the one who has been doing ALL the leaking that we have heard about this case.

Indeed. That's why, according to these reports, they're not being charged with anything under those statutes - but rather with obstruction of justice and so on.

Basically, they're to be charged with commiting a "crime" during the investigation of a non-crime. Same thing that happened to Martha Stewart. An absurdity, as I said at the time.
