Aside from the inconvenience to the parents, suspensions generally entail a grade if F all homework assignments and tests during the suspension period - you've missed them and cannot make them up. Could have an impact on one's grades.

This year I have the wife and four of her female friends (three 19 year old and one 21 years) that I plan to walk around on a gang leash during the "haunted happenings" festival in Salem.

We are currently having a costume dispute as some of the girls don't like the leather collars and lingerie I have selected for them. They think they will get too cold and the collars and straps are "degrading".

We will either make the front page or they will kill me during the parade... thereby STILL making the front page..

I thought if they just sent the kid home with his homework for three days and they were allowed to do the homework at home...what's the punishment in that? I do that with my kids every day and they LOVE it!

I could also see if a parent was paying out the nose for a private school and the kid got suspended...yikes...that wouldn't be good.

But for public school, whether your kid goes or not...you pay the same. I pay the same taxes and my kids have never stepped foot in a public school.

To inconvenience the parent in order to punish the child seems a bit convoluted...besides, maybe it was socially stigmatizing in the past, but I just don't see it being such a big deal nowadays with people. Including these folks...they don't think he did anything wrong.
