This Jarhead says they dang well better have Chesty Puller on a stamp.
BTW, I doubt if you'll be buying many stamps at the Post Office on November 11. It's a federal holiday.

Just bought 4 sheets of Ronald Reagan stamps. Looks like I'll be making another trip to the post office.

They are the self-adhesive kind. No self-reliant Marine would ask for help to complete their duty to stick to the envelope you know.

Interesting. I had no idea that General LeJuene had commanded my old man's (Army) 2nd Infantry Division. I'll have to check that out.

I agree. It's high time Chesty Puller had a movie made about him too.

Marine Corps generals crossword puzzle

Lt. Gen. John A. Lejeune, often referred to as "the greatest of all Leathernecks," during his more than 40 years service with the Marine Corps, led the famed 2nd Division (Army) in World War I, and was Major General Commandant of the Marine Corps from June 1920 to March 1929. A birthday message he drafted during his tenure as the 13th Commandant of the Marine Corps is read every year at celebrations of the Marine Corps’ birth.
Emphasis mine.
