Interesting. I had no idea that General LeJuene had commanded my old man's (Army) 2nd Infantry Division. I'll have to check that out.

Marine Corps generals crossword puzzle

Lt. Gen. John A. Lejeune, often referred to as "the greatest of all Leathernecks," during his more than 40 years service with the Marine Corps, led the famed 2nd Division (Army) in World War I, and was Major General Commandant of the Marine Corps from June 1920 to March 1929. A birthday message he drafted during his tenure as the 13th Commandant of the Marine Corps is read every year at celebrations of the Marine Corps’ birth.
