Great job on the video!

Did you call the police all 3 times or just twice and another FReeper called the other time? What number was called? What were the police told and what was their response on the telephone?

I have to admit the motivation seems quite confusing to me too.

^^^^^

The police have told the DC Chapter to phone them if there is any trouble. The DC police were phoned for an hour with the report that the "peace" bus was illegally parked, and was flauting the ordinance against parked buses running their engines.

The police did not respond until someone from Code Pink called them to complain about Kristinn.

Point made the officer in charge and the 8 squad cars who responded to a leftie's request, but not a conservative's request.

I called twice when someone told me the number to call was the non-emergency 311 number. Kristin called the other time. They said they would dispatch someone.

Thanks. I'm not sure that it would have been justified to call the 911 number, but that's exactly what the Pinkos did.

Our first night at Walter Reed, the Pinkos sent over 3 leftists to our side with "Kill the Poor" signs and one of the three claimed to have a gun in his pocket and ranted on about killing people. tgslTakoma called 911 multiple times and the response was worse than pathetic.

See LIVE ACTION REPORT: Code Pink's Gail Murphy sends thugs into peaceful DC Chapter counterprotest

Looks like the Pinkos get a lot better police response than we do.

And what about the policeman in a patrol car who drove by with window down, slowed down, heard our complaints, and chose not to act?

Bill you are so wrong. It was a case of the police not wanting to get involved. If they would get more respect, I would have had to bail Kristinn out. There were several things that happen while we were talking to the police Captain that would negate your statement. (I won't post them here). Sometime police just look the other way for either side. If it were the right officer on the right day, he would have stopped and at least had them move the bus. This was a simple case of picking their battles.

Great video, but it ends with the female cop crossing the street to the bus.

Question - did the bus get ticketed?

No, they didn't ticket the Bus, or Kristinn. I have some more video with the discussion between us and the Police Captain, but I didn't think it was important. He just made his point that they wanted us to remain on our sides, and "not to block traffic or they would start arresting people". They just let the bus move on and leave after that. When we complained about them not responding to our first three calls when the bus was blocking the righthand lane, he said "we are not responsible for the dispatchers, we came when they dispatched us."

Bill you are so wrong.

You mean when I said: "Looks like the Pinkos get a lot better police response than we do?"

If your point is that we just had bad luck with police dispatchers, you may be right. However, there was a marked difference in response when the Pinkos called police vs. when we called the police on that night. Maybe we just didn't call the right number or say the right things to get immediate police response, but there was a difference.

I was standing with the female officer when she called dispatch to verify the 311 call from us.
I am satisfied that the DCMPD had more on their plate Friday night, and moved a traffic call to the bottom of the list.
Code Pink used the 911 and that is why they got a response.
She was really cute, too.

When Code Pink calls they overstate the problem. We were not calling about the same thing. They most likely made it sound like someone was dead. We did not do that.

I'll bet that you're right. Code Pink must have overstated the problem in order to get so many officers to respond.

A pair of officers could have easily handled the situation.

The captain is right about the dispatchers. One of my closest friends is a dispatcher, and they have the power to prioritize calls. A call about an illegally parked bus would drop to the bottom of the list.
