You know you're in trouble when your defense consists of claiming that the documents can't be 'easily dismissed' as forgeries.

So, what, instead of the 30 minutes it took the blogosphere, it would really require a few hours of work to conclude the docs were fake?

Other than learning that Mary cried and that she thinks Thornburgh is full of it, what do we learn other than that even Mapes herself can't bring herself to claim that the documents are forgeries?

Who is going to buy this book? It will be found on the bookshelves of newsrooms and of schools and universities. This book is a propaganda ploy aimed at future researchers while the internet postings with the truth about the matter will be long gone.

Think of the Soviet rewrites of history for their own "masses".

Mapes--you liberal, lying, POS. YOU can be easily dismissed. There are slightly more than half of voting Americans who pine for truth and you can't deliver because your phony idealogy can't support the truth.

She also calls one of the co-leaders of that probe, Dick Thornburgh, worse than an "empty suit...He was completely full if it."

OK, I'll give her one.

BTW, On occasion of sitting with the old folks watching the tube whilst a kid Edward R. Murrow really gave me the creeps.

I can easily imagine him in a park wearing a trenchcoat and carrying a bag of candy---"Hey, come here little boy...."

At one point, for example, she asserts that CBS News chief Andrew Heyward said that if the bloggers could come up with "lousy analysts" to attack the authenticity of the memos CBS could find its own "lousy analysts." In an e-mail to Vanity Fair, Heyward denied this.

Even her "home team" members will not hang with her.

Poor Ms. Mapes is in meltdown.

Typical Leftist speak - as if the forgeries themselves weren't a political campaign...

Hey Mary: "FEA."

Or better yet: GFY. I don't believe one word of what you have written.

Little Mary still doesn't recognize that her kind are headed for the dustbin of history. And all the kings horses and so forth won't put her world back together again. Move.on Mary.

But they can be easily dismissed as forgeries, and they were. The only ones who still don't admit it are Mapes and Rather, which shows where they are in the partisan nutcase pecking order.

And now we're solidly behind Samuel Alito, Ms. Mapes.

Be afraid...be very afraid. LOL.

They just announced on Fox and Friends that they are going to discuss Mapes' book coming up soon this morning. Not clear if Mapes herself is going to be there, but they're going to cover her claims sometime this hour.

Perhaps Mary can get a job in some Goebbel's propaganda machine. Oops, she already did that.
