Okay...I know the guy...two years as my parish priest and baptized my daughter.
Nobody commenting is right as to why. The reason why is control. This guy was a control freak. It was so bad...as an example, people who called him Greg instead of Gregory infuriated him and he let you know it.
As to what happened...not there don't know. My guess...threatened them with some type of action to get what he wanted. Very controling, manipulative, smart individual.
No, I would never trust him again...but hey, I never trusted him before.
I, too agree, five years is not long enough. Not sure about the military...but hope he is not out in 2 for good behavior.
Thanks for the update. Control is one thing; often womens' spokespeeple say that rape isn't about sex, it's about control. Control is no doubt part of it. But it is also about sex. There are plenty of control freaks who don't rape/sodomize others.
If a man rapes/sodomizes anyone, it IS about sex. The "priest" is a homosexual, who apparently likes to also force men to submit to sodomy. He deserves a much, much worse punishment.
