Whenever I go to Northern California, I always make time to see the Banana Slugs!

It is even more fun to take a salt shaker along when you go slug watching.

My husband's high school mascot (at an all-male boarding school) was the winged beaver.

My school's mascot was the bearded clam. :-)

Seriously? They should play each other -- if only for the headlines!

No, not seriously. "Winged beaver," however, leaves much to the imagination, especially with gutter-minded individuals such as myself. :-)

Imagine at an all-male boarding school. Worked on their imaginations, too!

Whenever I go to Northern California, I always make time to see the Banana Slugs! Its breath taking when you watch them leave a trail of slime on a leaf!!

I then go to the Sardine Factory in Monterey and have a bottle of wine and reflect on my day.

How DOES the other half live?

"How DOES the other half live?"

In Santa Cruz or Monterey, the 'other' half would likely add other mind-altering substances to the bottle of wine! ;o)
