Nope, that is President Damian..

The best solution has always been for Iranians to solve this problem by overthrowing the cavemen who have taken over their country. There may still be time for this, but I doubt it.
A nearly hopeless situation already, but waiting will not make it any better. Even if the U.S. does nothing, Israel will HAVE to.
BTW: Personally, I think the current hysterical behavior of the democrats is because they will do ANYTHING to keep us from doing what HAS to be done in Iran.
Then again, if the EUrabian lefts PC speech gestapo keep up their current agenda to placate the intolerant islamic fifth column within, and verboten "Piglet" is all but forgotten, we will soon see a day when a person will be hauled off the streets of Europe and prosecuted for simply publicly possessing a copy of Ibn Warraqs "Why I am not a Muslim," Oriana Fallaci's "The Rage And The Pride" or Bat Yeor's "Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis."
Thanks for the ping Dark Skies.
Hey Jan...give a glance to that Tony Blankley piece. It is an eye-opener as to how the U.S. is negligent in this WW.

Pure speculation. Well over half of iranians were born after the mullahs took power and the US was shut out. They grew up being indoctrinated that we are the devil, the Great Satan. They are not the Los Angeles Persians.
Given the developments over the last two or three years between China and Iran (trade and energy related) I would say that a new free Iran is more likely to turn toward Beijing than Broadway.
Iranian police have been accused of shooting and killing a motorist after he failed to stop when spotted eating during holy month of Ramadan, a Press report said yesterday. The victim, identified as 22-year-old Seyed Mostafa, was shot dead in Teheran on Saturday. He was also playing loud music with his car stereo, the report said. Even if the police claim is right, is eating during the fasting month punishable by death? the victims brother was quoted as saying. The report did not say if the family would press charges against the police, who have been actively enforcing a Ramadan ban on public eating, drinking and smoking as well as a wider campaign to crack down on lawless elements.

"So you think the Ku Klux Klan and the Spanish Inquisition are bad?
So do we, but...
Put the Numbers into Perspective
More people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined. (source)
Islamic terrorists murder more people every day than the Ku Klux Klan has in the last 50 years. (source)
More civilians were killed by Muslim extremists in two hours on September 11th than in the 36 years of sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland. (source)
19 Muslim hijackers killed more innocents in two hours on September 11th than the number of American criminals put to death in the last 65 years. (source)"

ISLAM HASN'T STOPPED KILLING IN ITS ENTIRE 1400 YEARS.
"...A previously unknown historical anecdote cited by a US scholar in a recent book best illustrates the point. It concerns the protection of the Iranian Jews living in the occupied Europe during the II World War. According to the author the Iranian Government of the time managed to procure them safe conduct from the authorities of the Third Reich on the false pretence that these citizens, having lived in Iran for over two millenniums, have been assimilated in the Persians (Arian) race .
The status of women is another case in point. Under the Pahlavis the Iranian women were brought to the society's mainstream. The mushrooming institutions of higher learning opened their doors to women. Teachers, doctors, lawyers and administrators were trained and fielded in different walks of life. The right to vote (even if only nominal), to seek divorce and be protected from an abusive husband was - to the dismay of the clerics - written into the law. Today, the Iranian women remain one of the vanguards of resistance to scourges of the fundamentalist rule..."

There you go again...
As I've done before with you I'll ask you...dispute what I say with facts rather than insults. I'll throw my facts out first...
China and Iran are fast becoming high on each other's list of trading partners. China needs for oil and gas are growing exponentially while iran's desire for consumer goods (that they don't know how to manufacture themselves) is growing equally fast.
There are annual Iran-China trade fairs.
There are Iran-China energy deals (eg the deal of November 2004)that span future decades and entail over $100 billion flowing from China to Iran.
This is real, factual and verifiable by anyone caring to google 'iran china'.
Now, your turn. Tell us all where to find the evidence that the odds of a US(the Great satan)-Iran friendship is going to trump the existing and growing China-Iran romance. Use facts, not bluster.
That link you provided is a gem, so much there to share...
TEHRAN (Reuters) - Police in northeastern Iran are launching a new morality drive by confiscating alluring mannequins from boutiques and clothes stalls in the bazaar, authorities in the city of Bojnourd said on Monday.
A spokesman for the city's judiciary, who asked not be named, explained the drive would tackle problems of "public chastity". Sixty five mannequins have been impounded so far.
He explained the crack-down on tailors' dummies was part of a larger offensive against anti-social behaviour such as vandalism and biker gangs.
Bojnourd owes its traditional religious climate to the nearby shrine city of Mashhad, a focal point of pilgrimage for the world's Shi'ite Muslims.
