Sen. Biden stumps in Kentucky (Biden:"I'm going to shove my rosary beads down their throats")
Lexington Harald ^ | 10/24/05 | AP

Posted on 11/03/2005 6:47:02 AM PST by Dutchgirl

"If I'm the nominee, Republicans will be sorry," said Biden, a Roman Catholic who ran for president in 1988. "The next Republican that tells me I'm not religious I'm going to shove my rosary beads down their throat."

Biden said that in most cases, Democrats have themselves to blame for losing in so-called red states such as Kentucky and Ohio.

"We have put up too many candidates who can't connect with middle-class Americans," he said. "In the last two (presidential elections), the Democratic Party has lost its base, the middle-class votes. ... And we have played into the hands of the Republicans. We've allowed so-called social issues to be so divisive."

State Sen. Julian Carroll, a Frankfort Democrat and former governor, agreed. He said the party has to seek out the voters it is losing to Republican candidates.

"If we define who we are, the middle class will vote Democratic again," Carroll said.

"The next Republican that tells me I'm not religious I'm going to shove my rosary beads down their throat."

Ahh, and there-in lies the problem. He obviously doesn't know what Rosary Beads are for, the same way he has never read the Cathechism of the Catholic Church:

"2273 The inalienable right to life of every innocent human individual is a constitutive element of civil society and its legislation"

Don't you guys have any bishops willing to pronounce a (deserved) anathema on these frauds?

They certainly don't represent any RC's I know. I don't think the SBC churches they belonged to have expelled Clinton or Gore yet either but they no longer pretend to be Southern Baptist and Carter was driven out. I thought that things like excommunication and anathema were part of the advantages of a centrally controlled denomination.

Umm, well, there are worse places he could shove his beads. Kinda wonder how much of a workout that rosary gets when Biden votes to uphold practices like partial birth abortion.

Note to Biden and the rest of you democRATs, religion and morality are what you DO, not what you carry.

But, of course, when you are incapable of telling the truth, even to yourself, you'll never even be able to BUY a clue.

RATs are RATs, they have no morality but the possession and use of power.

Several examples of actually Roman Catholic Cardinals in the United States would be:

Justin Cardinal Rigali of Philadelphia and

Francis Cardinal George of Chicago

Also Avery Cardinal Dulles (son of Ike's Sec/State John Foster Dulles)

The New York Archdiocese holds an annual charity dinner called the Al Smith Dinner (named for the 1928 Democratic Presidential candidate, a Catholic and usually MC'd by his Republican grandson) and it is held in October. In presidential election years, this dinner is an absolute mandatory appearance for major party presidenial nominees. Biden would be shredded with the parts left in the gutter if he showed up. Edward Cardinal Egan has his weaknesses but his hatred of abortion will keep him from comforting the embarassing likes of the lying drunken frat boy of faithless Notre Dame, who is Neil, errr Joe Biden.

At least he has some claim to bald. What possible basis is there for Biden to claim to be Catholic?????? And no, I don't care about the details of his Baptism with his subsequent track record.

And then, I'll beat them over the head with a large crucifix! I'll smack their knuckles with Sister Mary's wooden ruler! I'll whack their shins with a Bishop's crozier! I'll run them down with the Popemobile! That'll show them how serious I take my Catholicism!!!!

I really don't think the GOP is particularly concerned about Joe Biden being the nominee.

That sounds like a challenge Mr. Biden.
Okay, I don't think you are religious. I think you are a card carrying commie atheist. If you are still in a mind to shove those rosary beads down my throat, I can send you an address.

One can really see Biden's respect for the Rosary and Our Lady in his comments.

Biden, go jump in a lake. You're merely a poser using your affiliation (no, it's not a faith for Biden) for political points. If I ever saw Biden abusing a Rosary...well, I've got a size 11 cowboy boot to shove into his behind.

Senator Joseph Biden
Delaware

This series, appropriately titled "Herod's Heroes," is intended to separate the wheat from the chaff by revealing those men and women, for whom we have voted, and who are not upholding the ideals God expects of His children. We cannot condone sin, and they are promoting the most vile of sin by being accomplices to the slaughter of millions of innocents in the womb. That is why, like the Judean king of Christ's time, who, out of political expediency and jealousy, tried to eliminate the Messiah by killing the first-born of every family, so also they are helping satan in killing God's precious ones sacrificed at the altar of the convenience of modern life. These "Herod's Heroes" are under the totally false misconception that a woman has the right to do with her body as she wants. Wrong! It is not hers, but rather God's. The body we have is merely a shell to hold our soul. The soul is forever; the body, as we are reminded on Ash Wednesday, will return to dust. Christ has said in Matthew 10: 28, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather be afraid of him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Thirteenth on the list of "Herod's Heroes" is the Democratic senator from Delaware Joseph Biden. As an ally of satan through his uncompromising pro-abortion stance, he is enabling lucifer to "destroy both soul and body in hell." Through his actions he has become an enemy of God and the Roman Catholic Church. This is not a political statement on Biden, but rather a moral statement; one he and his bishops should take very, very seriously.

We apologize for jump-starting into the House with the California pro-abort 'Catholic' congress persons before finishing up the Senate. There were a few reasons we did, chiefly because our research was delayed. Tomorrow we will resume with members of the House.

Senator Biden , born in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1942, is last but not least among the offending pro-abort 'Catholic' members of the Senate. His political career began in 1970 before Roe vs. Wade became the law of the land. It has remained so because of his help. We say that because Biden played a large role in defeating the nomination of Judge Robert Bork, a committed Pro Life Catholic, to the Supreme Court in 1987. Had Bork been confirmed it is quite likely the makeup of the Court today might have been changed, Roe vs. Wade might already have been erased from the books. But we will never know because of Biden's adherence to his party's culture of death. And he will never know how many innocent ones he has condemned to death through his pro-abort measures until he stands before his Maker.

He is now in his fifth term as Delaware's senior Senator and we call on him to come to his senses. Here is a man raised in a middle class Irish Catholic home, imbued with solid principles of morality and right. Yet, as we treat in our catechetical series today on the Eighth Commandment, he has not only lied to himself but, as a member of the party of liars, he has perpetuated the lie that a woman has a choice to her own body. The slickness of his father's profession has rubbed off on this established politician. His father owned a car dealership in Scranton and often times Biden has been accused of acting like a used car salesman, talking up a storm and trying to sell the people a lemon - such as getting the public to buy the lies of pro-choice.

As one of the senior members of the Senate and his party, Biden could do so much good, yet there have been no fruits because, through his action and record, he has steadily shown a disdain for the teachings of the Catholic Church and her mandate of upholding life in all stages. Though he voted to ban partial-birth abortion, he has still shown an alarming consistency in voting for and legislating pro-abortion measures that empower the culture of death. He will have to answer to God for these transgressions against Christ's innocent ones as Jesus says in today's Gospel in Matthew 25: 45, "'Amen I say to you, as long as you did not do it for one of these least ones, you did not do it for Me.' And these will go into everlasting punishment, but the just into everlasting life."

We ask him to repent of his ways, help turn the Democratic Party away from the culture of death and the immoral organization it has come under the evil leadership of the Clinton administration. We ask him to help bring the Party back to the glory days when the Party stood for decency and right. Senator Biden is in a strong position to bring the Party back to morality. Is he up to the challenge? Today the Party he is so proud of is so far Left that its members, who continue to promote abortion - murder in the womb, could very well be left out at the Heavenly gates when their time comes.

Is Senator Biden truly aware of that? We call on all to help him see the grave error of his ways and we call on his bishops in Wilmington, Delaware and in Washington D.C. to take firm, responsible action to assure that if he continues to persist in the sin, he will be banished from the Church for remaining a Catholic while carrying on the sin with no sign of repentance. It is truly a slap in God's and His Church's face. As we wrote in our Ash Wednesday OPEN LETTER TO THE BISHOPS OF AMERICA and a week later in It's up to you. Left or Right? we respectfully, but strongly recommend this time of Lent and Easter as a time for the bishops to extend the warning - a time of Mercy - for these wayward 'Catholics' who promote abortion to repent of their ways. If they stubbornly refuse, then after Pentecost Sunday it's time to take action and dismiss them as apostates. Do you really want that, Senator Biden?

You can e-mail Senator Biden and, in love, ask him yourself. Beg him to repent of his ways. Remind him what Jesus asserts in Matthew 16: 26-27, "For what does it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, but suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will render to everyone according to his conduct." Is his political career more important than the welfare of his soul? Ask him. His e-mail is joe_biden@biden.senate.gov

We call on the bishop, whose jurisdiction governs Biden's area of residence and his constituents, Bishop Michael A. Saltarelli, Bishop of Wilmington, Delaware along with Biden's governing prelate in the nation's capitol Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, Archbishop of Washington D.C. to jointly issue a mandate to Senator Biden that. if he persists after Pentecost Sunday, then he must be notified that he has interdicted himself by his actions, incurred automatic suspension (latae sententiae), and thus has been EXCOMMUNICATED! (cf. Canon Law 1329, 2; 1397 and 1398).

These bishops have a duty before God, a duty to their flocks to extend mercy through the grace-period of Lent and Easter Season leading up to Pentecost. If no action is taken or if there is and Senator Biden refuses to heed even the Church, then let him be an anathema.

Like the prodigal son, we will gladly welcome him back and be proud to number him as a loyal Catholic - as a Paul who once was Saul. Does Senator Biden really want his legacy in eternity to be that he was one of "Herod's Heroes?" With all the good that he has accomplished, why have it blotted out by the evil that he has done? We pray his heart will be touched and he will return to the fold. But if he refuses, if he ignores God's commands, then so be it. He has sold his soul to the devil and Christ has made it very clear in Matthew 19: 15-18 of how to treat one who turns his back on His teachings.

Our bishops MUST follow Our Lord's teachings, they MUST stand up for Christ and His Church. They MUST not only speak out without reservation, but they MUST issue the ultimatum to these pro-abort politicians who bring so much scandal to the Church by continuing to call themselves 'Catholic.' If, by Pentecost Sunday, Senator Biden refuses to repent, then he must be EXCOMMUNICATED!
