Actually I read the CIA's own after action reports, now de-classified. Same for the docs on the Bay of Pigs operation. True stories of that world are fascinating to me.

You've gotta love the freedom of information act... [FOIA] The free flow of information, even if it's late, is the cornerstone of democracy. I've read most of the source docs as well but it's nice when a good author builds quality context to capture the event. All the Shah's Men is a good example... glad your interested. Keep searching for the truth.

BTW, it's not F14's CIA, it's OUR CIA. The CIA has done and continues to do great work, but people rarely do FOIA requests to learn about why things are working so well. And contrary to assertions here, the Agency is non-partisan. It serves the POTUS who serves the American people who are from every corner of the planet.
