From an "intelligence viewpoint", if there is an increase in these incidents, then clearly, your statement is correct and we have attrited the enemy severely! There have already been many reports from the field of some recent car bombers, where in the remains of the vehicle they discover a shoe (and sometimes a foot) duct-taped to the accelerator pedal, and hands duct-taped to the wheel.
These are not the signs of voluntary bombers.
Seems that "jihad" ain't selling like it used to.

Oh, how I pray that it was done by a remote control held by the good guys. I've been praying for the use of bomb-detonating microwaves, and the like, for 3 years. Maybe this isn't so farfetched. Why not drive around city streets with an infrared transmitter of some sort. Might make for good video as random explosions pepper the city.
