Did 'revoked' living willkill communicative man?

Family members are investigating what they consider to be suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a nursing home patient at the center of a life and death tug-of-war reminiscent of the Terri Schiavo tragedy.

Seventy-nine-year-old Jimmy Chambers died in the early morning hours of Oct. 24 after the tracheotomy tubes that deliver oxygen from a ventilator to a hole in his neck became unhooked. Family members were told Chambers, a resident of the Anne Maria Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Augusta, S.C., apparently pulled the interlocking tubes apart.

"We're having it investigated. We're just incredulous," Chambers' daughter, Deanna Potter, told WND in reference to her siblings. "The last time I saw dad he was blowing me a kiss. I blew him one and he blew one back."

The retired dispatcher for Holland Motor Express died approximately 10 hours later. His death certificate indicates he died of "natural causes."

"Apparently, suffocation is a 'natural cause' when you're on a ventilator. We're contesting that," said Potter. "He suffocated. He didn't just pass away. He struggled and fought. And I'm just so angry."

Potter estimates it would have taken 10 to 14 minutes for her father, deprived of oxygen, to fall unconscious, and questions why the nursing home staff didn't come to his aid.

"The oxygen-saturation meter and his ventilator both would have had alarms going off. Four-thirty, five o'clock in the morning you'd think someone would hear this," she added. "That's the thing that really bothers me and makes me suspicious."

How about that a large truck runs over him and he ends up in a fully aware vegatative state and his lovely mistress pulls the feeding and water tubes?

If Scott Thomas understands much, I suspect that he wishes he never lived in FL. But where could he live and be safe in his situation? I don't trust U.S. courts much anywhere.

I would not be surprised if MRS has a "living will" directing that HE be given all kinds of end-of-life sustaining services. Liberalism and hypocrisy are near synonymns in such cases.

I'm basically lurking for awhile. BUT, it's worth noting that on the first day of the Vigil I believe that the two st pete times reporters Anita and the other girl were there with Michael Schiavo supporters and they were holding signs.

They came back the next day and they had press passes and worked for "the Times". Somebody else noticed too. They denied it of course. There were not too many Michael supporters so we had ample time to size each and every one of them up.

The Clearwater Bar Assn. has their little meetings at the Scientology Hotel. Judge Greer got an award handed to him by a scientology lawyer at such a mtg.

Scientology bought off Florida's GOP. There's nothing we can do about it.

Looks like Senator Chip Rogers may have had a little talk with big boy Jim King across the state lines. Jim King must have used intimidation tactics to get Chip Rogers to pull the bill. Jim King is a pudgy gangster and probably wields power in Georgia.

Sci-Fi channel ran Rod Serling's Twilight Zone all weekend.

There was one episode in which a committee met in a very stark room with an individual, they brainwashed the fellow and then they repeated over and over "You are obsolete. You are obsolete.

We are there. Rod Serling was so prophetic. (Committees are killing people they deem to be obsolete.)

There's yet another book coming out next spring. It may derail or set back Charlie Crist's campaign. It's also damning of Florida's DCF who conducted an investigation but a higher up made the investigator close his file. No need to provide anyone's names now. They'll be in the third book announced for spring.

A doctor DID certify that Terri had six months to live even though it was a on a fraudulent medical record that I once held in my hand. Hospice admitted Terri based upon a fraudulent medical record and never pursued unadmitting her. Instead, it became a matter of medicaid fraud that Fla AG Charlie Crist NEVER investigated. He'd rather lower people's phone bills than investigate REALLY, BIG, BAD MEDICAID FRAUD and by a so-called non-profit.

It's those shadow corporations that pocket the extra dough.

TeddyR, there were a lot of stabbings and shootings over New Year's. FLA AG CHARLIE CRIST is doing such a fine job (sarcasm tag) as chief law enforcement occifer of the state of Florida.

Largo, St. Pete, Tampa... MAN FROM GLAD CAN'T RUN ANYTHING. And, INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW IF CHARLIE CRIST IS GAY OR NOT? A real reporter asked him and I think he declined to answer. I don't want a gay governor who hates women as much as he seemed to hate Terri. He refused to do anything for Terri. Why? Because he's in with the Semblers and the Greer's. He doesn't serve the public, he's been serving the special interests, among them death cultists with lots of money.

TERRI COULD HEAR EVERYTHING AND SARAH COULD HEAR EVERYTHING. Bingo, there's the connection. Except with Sarah, nobody ever told her that she was going to die unless she tried to talk. Terri tried to say she wanted to live. It's on AUDIO on the internet. Terri's dad told her that the feeding tube was coming out and that she would get a milkshake in a little while. TERRI TRIED TO SAY SHE WANTED TO LIVE. Then she started screaming and the guard outside in the hall threw the Schindlers out and the tube was pulled.

Judge Greer and Judge Whittemore should be impeached.

If the United States is against torture, they kind of forgot about that little policy while Terri was tortured and MURDERED.

Diane Lynne wrote an excellent book on the Terri Schiavo case. You can order the book at World Net Daily

Most Americans had never heard of Terri Schindler Schiavo when the controversy over her court-ordered death exploded upon the scene in March 2005.

For more than twelve years she had languished, her body slowly deteriorating in the absence of rehabilitative therapy, while the value of her life was litigated in the courts and weighed by legislators. Although she was neither dying nor dependent on machines for her life, many felt the brain-injured woman who relied on a feeding tube for nourishment should die. Because she had no living will, others insisted ending her life amounted to murder. As the debate raged on the airwaves, its significance was not lost on the pro-life, right-to-die, pro-euthanasia, and disabled-rights advocates who all adopted Terri Schiavo as a poster child for their causes.

When the tug-of-war over Terri escalated, an avalanche of news outlets—many of them misrepresenting crucial medical facts and overlooking salient details—swept the story even farther beyond her bedside. As two divergent versions of her last hours – one in which she was “peaceful,” “beautiful” and free of pain and the other characterizing her as in “deep distress,” “suffering” and “fighting like hell” – puzzled millions, one simple question remained: Did Terri want to live or die?

What would Terri have told us if she could? How could her caregivers over the years claim that she repeatedly made statements like “Stop that,” “Pain,” and “Help me,” while her husband’s attorney likened her to a “house plant?” Why was Terri denied testing and rehabilitative therapy when the courts had awarded more than $1.5 million for that purpose? Why did the majority of the money earmarked for her medical care and rehabilitation bankroll the lawyers who sought her death?

What are we to make of the numerous conflicts of interest overlooked by the courts? Was the Rule of Law followed or did judges display dereliction of duty and misconduct? What was behind the critical, timely changes to Florida law that gave legal legs to Michael Schiavo's petition to remove her feeding tube? Did campaign contributions influence the actions of public officials who stonewalled efforts to investigate Terri's collapse and allegations of neglect and abuse by her husband? And what role did the hospice play in the saga? Did the hospice affiliation of Michael Schiavo's attorney, a legislator who co-sponsored the change in Florida law, and members of a state panel who helped craft the legislation influence the outcome? Was Terri's case just one cog in the wheel of a national movement to support euthanasia in America? Has America turned down the “slippery slope” toward involuntary euthanasia? What are the implications of her story for other incapacitated persons? Who will die next?

"Terri's Story" includes interviews with Michael Schiavo, his family members, and right-to-die activists who see this case as the Roe v. Wade of court-assisted death, as well as the stories of Schindler family members and many who got caught up in the effort to save her life. A powerful, insightful, and ultimately heartbreaking story, "Terri's Story" provides the background and depth missing in most of the national news coverage of the battle to save her life.

DIANA LYNNE has covered the Terri Schiavo story for three years as a reporter and news editor for WorldNetDaily. She grew up in Boston and is a graduate of Harvard University and Emerson College with degrees in economics and mass communications. A ten-year veteran of network and public television in South Florida, she lives in West Palm Beach.

Did you see the picture floating around of Terri right before all rehab was cut off? You couldn't even tell there was anything wrong with her in that one particular photo. That was back when one of the beach communities had a Terri Schiavo Day to celebrate how well her recovery was going.

After that she was DEPRIVED but continued to be alert and aware, against all odds.

TERRI WAS MURDERED and the State of Florida did it.

www.renewamerica.us. A list of events in 2005: up top: "The killing of Terri Schiavo by the State of Florida".

That's blunt but true.
