he grabbed its rotating chamber as the man tried to shoot him. At the same time, he drew his own gun and fired. Would love to have seen the look on the scum bag's face just before the bang.

The robber had a revolver, and Mr. Latif said he grabbed its rotating chamber as the man tried to shoot himImpressive

Garland is not is Travis County. I just read the Dallas Morning News reference and presumed this happened in Dallas. Thanks for pointing out my grievous error.

I think I'll run to the TV and turn on CNN and anxiously await the press conference from the Brady Bunch on ANOTHER armed citizen defending himself against certain death..but, I'm takin a case of beer and a carton of cigs while I wait..

Travis County contains Austin; several hundred miles from Dallas. Garland, IIRC, is a southern Dallas suburb.

The street name is Garland, the way I read it.
Not Garland, TX (suburb of Dallas).

I think he's still breathing; better shoot'em again!

Good work with this thread and pinglist, it's important and entirely worth doing.
If we didn't see these reports here, we would -never- hear about them in the MSM.
To: Mr. Mojo
he grabbed its rotating chamber as the man tried to shoot him Risky. About like pushing the muzzle of an automatic out of battery...
But it worked, so what the hell.

Texas is a very bad place to try a robbery. Crooks keep thinking this is New England. We're simply doing what we can to cull the herd.
