Garland is not is Travis County.

I just read the Dallas Morning News reference and presumed this happened in Dallas. Thanks for pointing out my grievous error.

Travis County contains Austin; several hundred miles from Dallas. Garland, IIRC, is a southern Dallas suburb.

The street name is Garland, the way I read it.

Not Garland, TX (suburb of Dallas).
