52 percent of Americans think the indictment of Cheney's former chief of staff Lewis "Scooter" Libby reflects broader ethics problems in the administration, according to a Washington Post/ABC News Poll.

I propose that before being able to participate in such a poll, a person should have to be able to answer what Libby is charged with.

I seriously doubt that 52% of the public outside of the Beltway knows who Libby is.

The media loves to ask those questions that no one knows anything about then they get to frame them:

Q: The President refuses to meet with grieving mother Cindy Sheehan who lost a son in Iraq. Do you think that's just wrong;

Q: Evil VP Cheney's Chief of Staff, a guy named Scooter (but don't let the cute nickname fool you) has been charged with perjury in a case regarding outing the lovely heroic spy wife of wonderful Joe Wilson and exposing her to possible death, do you think that's wrong?

I don't believe 52% polled even know who he is.

President Bush, meanwhile, is thinking in bigger terms. Friends say he has decided that he will never catch a break from the Democrats or the media--on the CIA case or anything else--so he will govern from the right, as he did on most issues in his first term.

Welcome to the real world, Mr. President.
