Was John Roberts fired by CBS over "sloppy seconds" comment? John Roberts was reporting on CNN Sunday morning.

So CNN scooped him right up? Why am I not surprised.

I obviously missed something....what was the "sloppy seconds" quote?

Some lame-o CBS hack who called Alito "sloppy seconds" (in a reference to a very crude sexual situation).

He's earned it. The new head of CBS News is not your standard lefty. He's out of CBS Sports and Sports doesn't generate too many liberals ... all that win-lose stuff appeals only to conservatives.

Yes, in a White House Press Conference. It was and is extremely disgusting and derogatory. He should be FIRED for sinking to this new low.

CBS should have its press credentials revoked for it. To do any less is simply to invite more behavior like this. They can replace talking heads 'till the end of time (they just read DNC talking points anyway) but the behavior will continue unless real pressure is applied.

John WHO? Oh, must be another 'dumb as dirt' leftist:-)

Maybe CNN needs his as the replacement for Aaron Brown's time slot.
lol.
Media plays musical chairs again.

From the Sunday morning talk show thread...
"Aw gee....John Roberts on CNNs Reliable Sources is doing a "filler" from Brazil waiting for GWB to speak.
"Roberts is complaining about the hundreds of thousands of dollars that news organizations pay to make these trips where "we get no real information".......
guess he's longing for the good old days when his president in Africa was banging on a tribal drum, smoking a cigar in silhouette!"

That would require the WH to actually fight back on something. Where'd they get Scott McClellan anyway? He's as charismatic as a picket fence. (No disrespect meant to picket fences.)

John Roberts worked as a sort of TV disk jockey in Canada prior to landing his CBS News gig.
I give John's "sloppy seconds" remark a 65. Obviously no one could dance to it.

It was in the 'gaggle' just that always occurs just before the actual press briefing, not done on TV. He did apologize to Scott during the briefing.
I saw JR on CNN's UN'Reliable Sources'. He was clearly labeled 'CBS News' in the lower left corner.
That said, his comments were disgusting and probably tell us more about him than we really want to know.

They should get rid of reporter John Roberts so we can only have that name available for Chief Justice John Roberts, one of us.
