After many, many months of being a punching bag, the punching bag is ready to fight back. Republicans believe it is long overdue.
On FOX NEWS SUNDAY this morning, Brit Hume reported that he was told at the highest levels that the White House was finally going to engage the Democrats. They will be coming out with a defense of the war in Iraq.
On this forum and around the blogosphere, Republican loyalists have been wondering why the President has allowed the Democrats to get away with calling him a liar. There is a wealth of evidence justifying the war, including 500 tons of yellowcake uranium discovered in Iraq in March of 2003 at the nuclear research center of Al-Tuwaitha. 1.8 tons was enriched. That is not Betty Crocker yellow cake. Hussein wanted a bomb. And yet, a majority of our population does not even know about that find.
The Democrats are doing exactly what they said they would do in their secret memo that was captured by a Republican staffer. They are using the war for political purposes, while they are pretending it is not for political purposes.
If the President will light a fire under his team, support for the war will increase, perhaps dramatically. The President owes it to the troops who have sacrificed and to those who are still out there risking their lives everyday. Step up, Mr. President.

Is Hillary happy that some of the other potential candidates may have shot themselves in the foot, or in somes cases, like Kerry and Dean, in both feet, in both arms, in both legs, and in both butt cheeks?

Bush need to wake the f*k up. Enough running around, i think its time he puts the best interest of National Security and he totally puts out to the world what he knows as fact concerning everything from arms being smuggled out of Iraq days, weeks and months prior to the offensive, who was behind it, where the equipment went... all of it. All this crap we've been seeing in the papers and on tv since the * war on terror* began can all be wiped away in the hearts of the american people if BUSH speaks his mind to you and to the world.
Time to name names, places and reasons as to why the international community ( China, Germany, France ...) didnt jump on the train. The oil for food fiasco is probably the worst MESS ever to hit this modern open globalized world. Conspiracy into fact. Put it out, in black and white, what really happened in the months prior to America taking that sadistic f*k Sadamm, ...the reason the WMD report was flawed AFTER THE FACT.

heh, heh...loved that last line. :) Well, I hope this is another one of Bush's ropa dopes. Either way the dem/dim/lib/lefties have shown their butts for years now and maybe now the public is tired of being "mooned" by the dingbats. We'll see.

I truly believe that libs will get us killed. Their hyper-focus on sub-issues such as "abortion" and "multiculturalism" shows that they don't respect the very dangerous and dysfunctional world that we live in.
They are convinced that the greatest threat to liberty and modern civilization is religious Americans and corporations. They have more hatred for their fellow Americans who attend church and those who manage the engines of prosperity, than they do for the "Islamofascists" who would gleefully behead liberal democrat women and children.
Now is the time to expose the democrat party. George Bush has to find his tongue. And if that means getting down in the gutter with them, grabbing them by the collar so he can hold them up to the light of day, then let it be done. We cannot defeat an enemy we are unwilling to engage...and they are the enemy.

What most people failed to see was that Foreman was mostly pummeling Ali's fists and elbows, with just a few punches doing any real damage. Ali let his torso take most of the punches that missed his fists and elbows - - those punches were not going to knock him out.
At the end of the seventh round, Ali asked Foreman, "Is that all you got?" Foreman knew then that something was very wrong because that was indeed all he had.
Foreman was exhausted and his arms were beginning to droop. In the eighth round, Ali exploded on Foreman like lightning, pounding a left-right combination to the chin over the champ's tired, drooping arms. Ali knocked Foreman down for the count, a KO, and won the fight thereby regaining the World Championship.
Interesting story, don't you think?

I saw Brit say this this morning on the show. I didn't think he said it with much conviction, and that was bothersome. Also, I just think something has happened to G.W. of late. He just seems like a different guy for the past few months.
He never was a great speaker, that's unfortunate, but the real man is what counts. But even though he hardly ever gave a scintillating speech, of late he's been acting terribly unsure of himself, almost as if this born-again Christian knows that he took part in something that is not what he had thought it was......... and he seems like he doesn't know what to do about it.
I hope I'm wrong because I've always rooted for him to be correct and effective.
I guess we'll just see.
But I must say..... anything he presents to counter the lies of the Dems. will be basically ignored and dismissed. I hate the media with all my heart.

Alrighty...I understand what you are saying. Perhaps "counter" would be better than "refute." I certainly don't mean to go on the defensive.
W.. and White House. Most of us on here support you. The others are fence staddlers and nothing makes them happy. As a matter of fact, they have fallen into the arms of the ememy.
