I just saw an awesome ad on FOXNEWS.
The Kurds say THANK YOU!
[Paraphrased] Reminds us Saddam's goal was to eliminate all Kurds. Now Saddam is gone. Kurds are safe. They might have mentioned the gassing-I started paying full attention only when I knew what the ad was.
And separate shots of men, women, kids who look at camera and say "Thank You!"
It is always interesting to predict what the leftist negative spin to something like this will be. Like when the PM of Iraq addressed both Houses of Congress and they said he was a puppet.

Oh, no doubt. They will say it shows Iraq is divided and on the brink of civil war. Bush fails.

It would be nice to post this at DU. Wouldn't last long, I'm sure.
Today, at my real estate multiple listing service meeting all of us vets were asked to stand up and say where we served etc.
One gentleman stood up and introduced himself saying that while he had not served in the U.S. Military, he had served in the South Vietnamese army and fought besides the Americans against his country's enemies.
He said thank you to all the Americans who fought to help keep his country free. He said if he had been killed, he would have died defending his country, but he is forever grateful for those from America who fought, were wounded or killed for him and his country.
Made me feel good.

You'll be seeing it throughout the week :) Keep watching. I have Fox News on and stop to watch it each time too, even though I've seen it hundreds of times already. They've talked about it on Fox & Friends this morning and might do so again tomorrow. The Kurdish representative in the nation to promote this ad campaign is being booked on radio and TV interviews throughout the nation as well.
Exactly right. It was supposed to run on CNN International and CNN Headline News in this country. They rejected us. We are appealing. In the interim we took the $$$ and added it to the Fox News buy. We'll keep fighting CNN and if we can't break through we'll put the word out if we need FReepers to put the heat on. For now we're still negotiating over CNN International for next week.
CNN rejected this ad? That is a story alone.

Perhaps the White House HAS finally "come out swinging" by backing/producing this ad.
White House not involved in this effort. Although I am sure the Kurds would welcome their blessing of the project.
