"Disinformation" by Richard Miniter is an excellent book, with one huge exception: one of his "myths" is that terrorists might come across the US/Mexico border. That's no myth, and this proves it. I'm not quite sure this "proves it" but I know one thing, if I were a terrorist, I know how I'd try to get in.

How would that be? Why go through this process when you can obtain a VISA much more easily? 19 out of 19 of the 9/11 hijackers were here legally. While I am not saying that it isn't possible, the terrorists ARE going to take what's given to them. Why send your operatives in the hard way when the easy way is just as wide open?

If you were a terrorist wanting to spend time and money without getting caught or drawing attention, you wouldn't come across the Mexican line.
If you wanted to steal millions from a company and have a good chance at getting away with it, would you walk in and hold them up at gunpoint or would you get a job as an accountant and start embezzling funds, transferring invisible money into an off shore account?
Don't answer that. I think I know. You're no accountant.
