Abraham Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League - the one major American Jewish organization whose primary goal is fighting anti-Semitism - is worried. American Jews, he believes, are threatened, not by anti-Semites, but by the non-anti-Semitic Christian Right. In an address to the League's national commission in New York last weekend, Foxman said:
"Today we face a better financed, more sophisticated, coordinated, unified, energized and organized coalition of groups in opposition to our policy positions on church-state separation than ever before. Their goal is to implement their Christian worldview. To Christianize America. To save us!"
Gevalt! And what are these Christian groups actually trying to do in order to "implement their Christian worldview"? Not only are they pushing an "agenda of a wide range of issues, including judicial nominees, stem-cell research, same-sex marriage, abortion restriction and faith-based initiative," they also intend "to Christianize all aspects of American life, from the halls of government to the libraries, to the movies, to recording studios, to the playing fields and locker rooms of professional, collegiate, and amateur sports; from the military to SpongeBob SquarePants. No effort is made to hide their goals or their ambitions, and their vision of America is far different from ours."
That the Christian Right's vision of America is different from Abraham Foxman's, and from that of most and perhaps all American Jews, is indisputable. What is not so, however, is, firstly, whether the Christian Right is doing anything that the American Jewish community and the Anti-Defamation League have not been doing for decades; secondly, whether it is not therefore absurd to attack Christians for such things; and thirdly, whether there is any wisdom, from the American Jewish perspective, in declaring war on a Christian public that in recent years has been Israel's strongest supporter in United States.

Abe Foxman is a moron. As a conservative Jew, I am disgusted that the ADL and this nitwit are considered leading voices of the Jewish community.
For those who do not remember, Abraham Foxman is the guy who was troubled by Tom Delays "Zionist extremism".
When are people like Foxman going to figure out that their real enemies are on the anti-Semitic Left?
To do that they would have to recognize that the view of the world they have held all their lives is a fantasy.
There's nothing like smacking your friends and sucking up to your enemies. Too bad most American Jews appear to be disinterested in the survival of Israel and welcoming of support for the anti-semitic Muslims in this country. Otherwise, they would have rid themselves of Foxman before this. He has lots of company when it comes to being liberal first and Jewish second. Too bad that their enemies won't look at them the same way.
That man doesn't understand. Evangelical Christians are friends of Jews and Israel. Gotta be. We have the same Father.
Foxman is to Judaism as Fr. Greeley is to Catholic Christianity, or as John Shelby Spong is to Anglican Christianity, etc., etc. .... folks I'd call at my kindest margarine Jews or margarine Christins (i.e., not the real thing).
Abe Foxman does a lot of good. But his anti Christian paranoia is stupid. Though it falls in with Democrat ideology. Abe is playing to the cheap seats
I'd rather have a good evangelical Christian at my siden than you, Mr. Foxman. Thanks but no thanks. America is Judeo-Christian. Nothing wrong with trying to realize that. It's time you stood up for your faith and our G-d more and your pet lefty causes less.

"Abraham Foxman will have to decide what worries him more: Praying quarterbacks or the future of the Jewish people."
I guess he will really be pissed off when in the future 144,000 Jews will be preaching the "Kingdom of the Christ".(see Revelations)
I can't stand the little guy. He's the Jessie Jackson of American Jews.
