Sexual Affairs between Pupils and Teachers Can Be Beneficial Says UK ProfSure it's beneficial. It is beneficial to me, since I will get a good cardio workout beating the s**t out of the teacher who would molest my kid.

she fell in love with her 22-year-old teacher when she was a girl and pupil of his at only 14, claiming that not all such relationships are wrong
I've yet to meet a crazy person who would admit to being crazy.....

These people who spout garbage like this, this Professor Numbskull, well, they are insane.
In the past Britain had places to put these people. Today, they are teaching in Universities.

Child advocates were quick to condemn Sikes views as bizarre. Ah, the slippery slope. Notice they are afraid to say "wrong" so they use the word "bizarre". Soon it will become "offbeat" then "unusual" then "different" then "alternate" then "acceptable" then "preferred" then "required" then "mandatory". And parents will be prevented by law from interferring. They will also be required to provide a bed for the 'couple'.

"sexual relations between pupils and teachers can lend a beneficial erotic charge to the classroom.".We already ask so much of our teachers. We simply can't burden them with this additional responsibility.

A professor of education is contending that sexual relations between pupils and teachers can lend a beneficial erotic charge to the classroom. Where was this thinking when I was in Miss Lynch's 7th grade math class???

I wonder how long before the "lucky kid" crowd wander into this thread. Oh wait, she's writing about young girls, not boys.
She's nuts. The question I have is what peer-review journal has the desire to kill its credibility to publish her paper?

I guess I'm getting old, as I can't tell a 14 year old girl from a 22 year old one. 22 YO hormones aren't much more mature that 14 YO hormones. A bad mix, IMO.
Way too much sex in school. Was then, is now. Folks want to know why the schools want to involve themselves in their child's sex education. That's because that's where they are getting that education - in the hall, classroom, library, storeroom, under the bleachers, in the bathroom - and that was 35+ years ago.
Any guy out there who ever dropped a pencil or book in class knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
Segregate the boys from the girls, teachers & most admin, too, from age 11 thru high school. Plenty of time for that after school, & the responsibility for this behavior (perfectly natural) falls back to the parents, where it belongs. And their exposure to male & female role models (respectively) will help kids lacking in this area.
As to GLAAD students & teachers, the above plan could get messy.
