(FR) BALTIMORE MARYLAND-Maryland's Republican governor announced this morning on WBAL-Baltimore radio that the mysterious identity of MD4BUSH would soon be revealed.
In response to questions about the MD4BUSH affair, in which a democrat operative got an aide to the governor to comment online about infidelity rumours of Baltimore Mayor Martin Omally, the Governor became angry over the double standard. "When this thing broke I had cameras and mics stuck in my face, now that it seems MD4BUSH is a democrat operative working in conjunction with a major media outlet...its a set-up...where are the cameras now?"
The governor laughed when a caller slyly suggested he subpeana Freerepublic.com in the name of "good government" in case MD4BUSH was actually an "evil republican on a state computer attacking not only Omally but (D) MD Sen Barbara Mikulski." He laughed again when the caller suggested "Surely the democrats would want the identity brought out"
The double standard of the media and was further discussed as the caller stated "Joe Steffen used sexual rumours to achieve a political goal, MD4BUSH did the same thing while in the process "outing" a fellow democrat-this just shows you how much MD democrats will do anything to stop you" The governor replied, "and again where are the cameras? Only 2 reporters have been pursuing the story from the democrat set-up angle" he continued "I'm not worried too much about it as we will soon know who MD4BUSH is, probably in the next few days"
Did you have your pj's on?
Excellent!
cin for your info and ping list.
Where's the Fitz guy when you really need a exhaustive and thorough investigation?
I hope he is right. Can't wait to find out the rat's name.
Back in the 80s, there were these ads in the NYC subways for a doctor that would remove anal warts and perform other such "unspeakable in public" procedures. He was known by his phone number MD-TUSCH.
(I may have a letter out of place, the "C", maybe. But ask anyone who rode the subways back then. They'll remember.)
MD4Bush Ping!
"Where's the Fitz guy when you really need a exhaustive and thorough investigation?"
Fitzy would have charged Jim Robinson for drinking coffee while posting or something similiar.
Busted and 0\/\/n3c1. We can hardly wait for the WaPo to bust their own deepthroat.
Post of the day BUMP
The governor sounded pissed at the local press but at least WBAL has kept after the story. I read somewhere that there was a bit of a contretemps between reporter Dave Collins and someone at the mayor's office. Sucks to be them.
The Governor missed an important opportunity to point out that Steffen did NOT use sexual rumors at any time in his public threads, and according to recent reports did not even do so in his private freepmails. All he did was to caution MD4BUSH that using sexual rumors was inappropriate.
What the governor should have pointed is that the cameras were all over the place when a lie was being spread about what Steffen had done, but that when an actual case of vicious rumor mongering by the Democrats was revealed, the cameras all disappeared.
Thanks.
The first thing that came to my mind re Fitzy investigating this mess, was Fitzy would have found some way to blame Jim Rob for the crimes of the rats.
If I remember correctly, Steffen said only said "I heard those rumours too" and it was MD4Bush who did all the talking. This was a setup from the get go.
Good work, and thank you! I really liked the way the Govenor kept mentioning the almost total lack of MSM attention once it was suspected that MD4BUSH was a Democratic operative working with a major media outlet (Washington Post).
It was Mary Mapes.
Yeah, we'd be better off with Starr : he'd bring charges against the liberal operatives and then allow them to walk in return for a guilty plea, but at least he's one of the few who's programming even ALLOWS him to investigate a Democrat.
