That failure [of ABC employees to do real reporting] seems to indicate both organizations [ABC, ACLU] are more concerned with their agendas than the truth. That story never made a lick of sense.
How big would the cage have to be to be able to open the door, shove someone inside, yank that someone to safety, and shut the door all in less time than it would take for a lion to be there? Why wouldn't the lions be attracted by the commotion around the door even before it was opened?
I guess it's all possible but the suspects would do better claiming that they were flushed down a toilet.
Not to worry. The folks at Air America, DU and dailykos believe them and so do the MSM -- but they all support the troops, ya know.

Was doing a bit more reading on this. This October article states they were still in Baghdad. Apparently some fighting over where they should go.

A bit more. They were transferred to the Baghdad zoo 20 July 2003. It won't be very hard to see if the dates of their stories even match up to when the lions were there.
