Bush in the Bunker
Insight Magazine ^ | November 11, 2005

Posted on 11/15/2005 9:24:21 AM PST by Cecily

President Bush feels betrayed by several of his most senior aides and advisors and has severely restricted access to the Oval Office, administration sources say.

The president's reclusiveness in the face of relentless public scrutiny of the U.S.-led war in Iraq and White House leaks regarding CIA operative Valerie Plame has become so extreme that Mr. Bush has also reduced contact with his father, former President George H.W. Bush, administration sources said on the condition of anonymity.

"The atmosphere in the Oval Office has become unbearable," a source said. "Even the family is split."

Mr. Bush has sought to stem the drop in public support by going on the political offensive last Friday with a major address on Veterans Day, in which he chastised anti-war Democrats for "rewriting the history" of the Iraq war's origins.

The President is out doing speeches, he is hardly in the oval office and now, is on an Asian trip and not in the office at all.

This report is rubbish - like saying Michael Jackson was nuts on the plane back to LA and when every one saw the tape saw he was calm, cool and collected the entire time and was never as the reports.

This report like most are why no one reads/watches MSM any longer.

Another liberal wet dream posing as news with an unidentified source: "Mr. Bush has also reduced contact with his father, former President George H.W. Bush, administration sources said on the condition of anonymity."

Kind of curious what these supposedly "Conservative" pundits feel they accomplish by publishing what amount to Kitty Kelly style Gossip Columns. Like these losers have any contact in the White House.

W is so animated when talking about Iraq war -- really is on top of info. However, he give the opposite impression when dealing with domestic affairs. It's almost like he does not want to be bothered. I guess my impressions are correct based on this article. He severely miscalculated that most people wanted/cared about Iraq. Now he is in a real big mess and does not understand why others are not concerned as he is. I have said it before, and I will state it again. W is the worse choice the Repub party could have made. He is quickly ruining any gains the conservative movement has made. Look for a landslide Dim win in next elections. Thanks W...
