..................The strangest episode came from an appearance by Senator Jay Rockefeller on Fox News Sunday: WALLACE: "Now, the president never said that Saddam Hussein was an imminent threat. As you saw, you did say that. If anyone hyped the intelligence, isn't it Jay Rockefeller? "

....ROCKEFELLER: "No. I mean, this question is asked a thousand times and I'll be happy to answer it a thousand times. I took a trip by myself in January of 2002 to Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria, and I told each of the heads of state that it was my view that George Bush had already made up his mind to go to war against Iraq, that that was a predetermined set course which had taken shape shortly after 9/11"

Morrissey asks in his article: "What was the second-ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee doing in Syria, a country which perennially finds itself among the top listings of terrorist-sponsoring nations, discussing President Bush's decision-making on the war on terror with Bashar Assad, one of the worst sponsors of terror in the months after 9/11?"

What indeed. Read the whole piece - time to flood the airwaves, contact Rush, Hannity, everyone on this one.

Seems Rockefeller gave Saddam a heads up in plenty of time to spirit his WMD out of the country (ala the saletlite photos that everone is ignoring now) to Syria?

Let's not let this one slip away. Morrissey was pretty sharp to pick this up

JULY 23, 2005 : (REPORT : AT CIA REQUEST, DOJ LAUNCHES CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGED LEAKS BY DEMOCRAT SENATORS DICK DURBIN, JAY ROCKEFELLER AND RON WYDEN) The Justice Department has launched a criminal investigation into whether Democratic Senators Dick Durbin, Jay Rockefeller and Ron Wyden leaked details about a secret "black ops" CIA satellite program last December in a move that may have seriously compromised national security, former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense Jed Babbin said on Saturday.
"The CIA made a request to the Justice Department to investigate and possibly bring criminal charges against these three [senators]," Babbin told WABC Radio host Monica Crowley. "My information is that investigation is ongoing."

Not that I like defending that stinking RAT, but president Bush pretty much made it clear to the whole world, way in advance , that he was after Saddam.

So he's already under investigation for another breach of secruity????

This was said in July --- anyone heard anything on TV about this? Like we have heard hourly for months on the Plame garbage?

Why so quiet, - why is the news not blasting this ??? Wanna bet nothing will come of it?

Sabre rattling against Saddam had been going on for years from Clinton on down - to Saddam, it was a game. He never though anyone would seriously attack...He is even quoted as saying that.

But to get a heads up that Bush, unlike all the others posturing to take him down, meant it, could well have spurred him to get rid of the WMD - and there are many credible reports linking their transport to Syria for 'safekeeping' -

Treason is treason - well, unless the perpeTRAITOR is a demorat?

Jayhole is a bone-headed dunce, but that just makes him more dangerous to national security, not less.

Leaky Leahy was bounced off the Intel Committee for leaking, that should be done immediately to Rockhead, just for starters.

Clinton is the king of traitors. Who knows just how much he sold to China? His stinking traitor buddies in the Senate had their chance to do the right thing during the impeachment and chose the dark side. That these same senators should continue to be traitors to America is not a surprise.
