NBC.com ^ | NBC TV

Posted on 11/16/2005 8:32:10 PM PST by holy joe

NBC's E Ring has sunk to Al Jazeera level.

Villianous Chirstians are the terrorists and Muslims are the victims.

From the NBC Web site:

"DELTA DOES DETROIT 8pm 2005-11-16 ALL NEW!

JT AND HIS TEAM FACE TERRORISM ON OUR OWN SOIL - JT (Benjamin Bratt) and a Special Ops team are dispatched to Detroit where a radical Christian group takes over a mosque and keeps its members hostage. JT must balance how much he is able to assist in saving lives with the law which requires that the FBI deal with the situation on their own. Also starring Dennis Hopper, Aunjanue Ellis, Kelly Rutherford. TV-14"

Shhhh! Nobody's watching the show, anyway. If a lib screams in the forest and nobody hears it, does it make a noise?

Nah.

I watched this show and it is just blatant and rediculous the way these liberals are reaching, dreaming, and salivating over portraying white christian men as terrorists, in their words, "every bit as committed and dangerous as the insurgents we are fighting in Iraq."

We ended up turning it off because it was disgusting how, IMHO, blatant the proganda is and the attempt to influence the public.

Excuse me, but when did the military EVER get involved in domestic law enforcement? The whole thing sounds like some liberal wet dream. As always, they forgot to read the Constitution.

After the "Great Raid" I'm surprized Benjamin Bratt cooperated with this tripe.

Maybe they are trying to increase ratings with controversy, but even if only a few million people see this it's disgusting.

So this show takes place in Backwards Land where people wear shoes on their hands and hamburgers eat people?

Believe it or not, I think Dennis Hopper has sounded off a few times and he sounds like a conservative.

He is also in one of my favorite episodes of 'Bonanza,' where he is the son a deceased minister who was killed by Indians. The man is in a funk and loses his faith in God, man, & woman, but before the episode is over he regains his faith in all three. GREAT EPISODE from a great series!

This is solid evidence that they're doing too much dope in Hollywood.
About the only thing the "terrorists" might do is blow up the
"call to prayers" sound system in order to reduce noise pollution
the neigborhood.

I can't remember the interviewee...but one of Hopper's associates said that
there was suspicion that Hopper is a Republican because he
brings in his own productions on-time and within budget.

I get the feeling that he just comes out to do enough work every five years or
so in order to keep up his art collection.

I have to agree. NBC is in the toilet already, they even boast about it. Still they continue to alienate the viewers.

Law and Order had a show where they attacked the minutemen too, I refuse to watch it. Is it any wonder they are at the bottom of the ratings? Not that the others are much better.

I wonder if those nasty right wing Christian terrorists will pee and defecate in the worship areas of the mosque.

Oh, that's right, Religion of Peace members already did that to the Church of the Nativity in Jerusalem when they took it over and held hostages a few years ago.

A lot of people are watching:

NBC orders a full season of 'E-Ring'

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- NBC Tuesday ordered a full season of Jerry Bruckheimer's new drama "E-Ring."

"E-Ring" becomes the first of three new Bruckheimer shows this fall to earn a full-season order, Zap2it.com reported. The WB dropped "Just Legal" after only three weeks and the fate of CBS' "Close to Home" hasn't been decided yet.

Benjamin Bratt and Dennis Hopper star in the "E-Ring," which is set in the Pentagon.

The show's ratings have steadily improved in the past five weeks with last week hitting a 9.9 million viewer peak, Zap2it.com said.

Yes, portraying a religious group that composes, oh, 80-85% of the nation as a terrorist group...great strategy.

Geez, did anyone notice when the Nigerian Christians and animists in the south FINALLY responded to having their villages pillaged, Shariah law installed, and their women raped that the media just went ape portraying this as a CHRISTIAN retaliation.

But where, oh where, was the reference to Islam in the earlier and subsequent attacks? Oh yeah, they were a "rival faction from the north."

I believe it.

Dennis Hopper was at an NYU Film School panel or Q&A session, I forget which. My friend attended and related the story to me. It was at about the time that the colorization of old films was in the news.

So somebody asks Hopper about colorization and it was a NYU Film School crowd, hostile to the very concept. Hopper evidently shocked the room by saying it was no big deal, that it's not like the originals were being damaged in any way (like recoloring the original Mona Lisa), and that a lot of younger people flatly won't watch B&W films and if it turns some onto older films, it's a good thing.

Hopper evidently followed up with a reference to the colorizers owning the films and having the legal right to do what they want, also derisively calling Ted Turner (one of the colorization bad guys at the time) an few choice names, and then punctuating it with a negative 'liberal' epithet that seemed out of character and stunned the liberal crowd.

So yea, there's some evidence out there that at best, Hopper may be a conservative, or at the very least, not a nauseating liberal! ;-)

Shhhh! Nobody's watching the show, anyway. If a lib screams in the forest and nobody hears it, does it make a noise?

If: 1.)Riots happen in France, 2.)Klintonoid scum politics allow 9/11 to occur, 3.)Corrupt Demoncraps and Republican'ts cover up the Able Danger scandal, 4.)illegal immigrants from "who knows where" continue to pour in and the media doesn't report it... are the masses of asses supposed to be outraged?

The best thing to do is not watch...and let them know it. The Hollywood Liberal (Southernkollyforneyus Schmuckus Liberalis) is a stubborn creature. It takes many many incidents of mass letter writing and many many years of declining viewership to change his ways. But then again, the Hollywood Liberal is above all else, a fanatic. They may actually prefer to "go down with the ship" and close shop before thinking of stopping any proselytizing of his sick liberal religious fundamentalism.

In real life in the last 100 years or so how many Christian terrorists have take over a Mosque?...(Answer I believe is:0)

Easy Rider's Dennis Hopper, the original sixties counter-culture hero/boozed-out drug addict, has indeed undergone, after sobering up, a political awakening that turned him into a Bush voter in 2000. He's proudly right-of-center these days, though I believe he has expressed some misgivings about the Iraq war. It appears, from the remarks I've heard him make in a TV interview, that his contempt for the leftist pretensions of the Hollywood establishment is bottomless.

Interesting tidbit, Many people think Hedda Hopper was his mother which is not correct.

Hedda Hopper's son was William Hopper who played "Paul Drake" on Perry Mason. Both he and his mother died from Pneumonia. Her in 1966 at 81 and William in 1970 at the age of 55.

Dennis is on wife number five though. (grin)

I stumbled on this show last night. As with all the Law & Order shows, it is just another hit piece on the military and the current administration. The episode last night was portraying Iran and France in a good light. It was just as bad as that show on FX about the Iraq occupation by the U.S.
