Not only is this an orchestrated attack on the President exploiting the war for political gain...it is probably no accident the Peace Democrats sent out a veteran to speak for them. This is the same trick they tried during the 2004 election when they nominated the 'war hero'. Murtha is just reporting for duty.

You will enjoy this thread. Conservative fighting back with passion. Proud to be a part of this effort. Time for Conservatives to back Hasert to the hilt. He is doing the right thing. We should encourage it. Maybe they will learn to LISTEN to the base more. :-}

Thomas Paine.

"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands now, deserves the thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated."

Well, let's get motivated, and certainly annoyed, but not down. The biggest rap on the CommieDemLibs in the eyes of the American people is that they're weak on national security. Right now, everything they're doing and saying is reinforcing that perception in spades.

You get a measure of the man when he starts beating his chest and popping off about Cheney's deferments after Cheney cut him off at the knees.

You are right. I received an email with lots of facts from our troops in Iraq. They are kicking the enemies ass real good, and; they cannot understand our media, nor the traitors in the Democratic party. These troops and Marines do not want to cut and run.

Yet, with the a party full of whiners what do we expect.

You are talking to the eternal optimist here -- I have been encouraging people on here to get mad, roll up their sleeves, get involved in campaigns, and oust the RAT traitors.

Good response by Hastert. Now go across the Hill and deliver it to the Frenchicrats in the Senate.

The Democrats deserve the fate that used to meet traitors of this country. The Frenchicrats betraying our troops in their surrender to the terrorists deserve to be shipped to the caves of Al Quida and taught to face reality of what we are really fighting. Not poll numbers, but BARBARIANS THAT WILL SLIT THEIR DAMN THROATS!

I tried to use his website to contact him, but if u try it u must be a constituent or it directs you to another congressman's site. He's a coward and a disgrace to the uniform that both of us wore.

HA! I love the new FR opinion poll on the front page...

Do you approve of the way the Democrat Senators are performing in their role as U.S. Senators?

Oh the Democrats know history

From the Outlook, a San Francisco weekly in 1902.
**The Democrats advocated the purchase of the Philippines. For a time the confirmation of the Philippine treaty was in doubt. It was the direct personal lobbying of William J. Bryan with the Democratic Senators which led to the confirmation of the Philippine purchase and which also lead to the present bloody war. Mr. Bryan said at the time that he advocated the confirmation of the treaty in order to put "the Republicans into a hole". He has certainly put his country in a hole. Is he proud of his work?**

William Jennings Bryan and his Democratic allies was the biggest attackers of the Army and the war at the time. They played up atrocities done by our troops and ignored the enemy tactics to gain political points. Murtha sounds like some of these speeches.

Interesting enough I can find examples of Democrats putting politics over National Defense many times when a Republican President was at war but the Republicans almost always put the troops over politics when Democrats was the War President.

It seems to me that the US must be very close to victory in Iraq.

BINGO!!!

If so, then PRESIDENT Bush and the Republicans would gain politically.

I, for one, will not forget which "republicans" supported our military and their Commander in Chief, and those that either joined the commies across the isle, or remained silent.

Iraq votes for their new government in 30 DAYS and these ignorant morons want to cut and run. We need to get rid of them all, NOW!

Maybe we need to start a movement to counter the "Bring the Troops Home...Now" campaign.
"CONgresscritters Resign NOW!"

The lengths that these SoB's will go to try and regain their "power" is truly disgusting, not to mention dangerous to the security of this country.

I think that the President needs to get on primetime and go into WhupA** Mode bigtime! Let the 'Rats whine about it afterwards...the main thing is to get out there and tell the sheeple what the real truth is, not the Michael Moore version that they're getting spoon-fed by the 'Rats and their media-enablers.
