Hypocrisy. These profs love their "distinction", yet they hate Christian distinction competing with them....much like Bin Laden as a matter of fact.
Thus the prof is the ideological brother of Bin Laden, not Lahay.

You know those Christians...like Robertson how could they cut Daniel Pearl's head off. Oh wait that was Bin Laden's group. How could they bomb innocent people in Jordan. Oh wait that was Al Quada. Comparing Christians to Bin Laden is absolutely offensive and bigotted. It demonstrates the hatred the left has for Christians. Christians do not murder non-Christians or other Christians. The Christian religion calls for love and forgiveness. Islam is death.
His opinion is stated without any justification or examples of their similarity. Because he says so, it is so.
And sadly many who simply practise hate will nod their heads in agreement and think him intelligent for pointing this out.
First, Osama Bin Laden is no poet. He is also no deep thinker and has only approved fatwas and never issued one. He and his mentor the Shaykh Azzam were influenced by Ibn Tamiyyah (1268-1328), who fought the Mongol invaders and argued that any depredation was possible in the name of Islam. In the 20th Century he was influenced by Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Sayyed Qutb, the radical Islamist and Western hater, who like Tamiyyah justified the use of terror in the name of Islam. In sum, OBL is only the most recent part of a continuum that would, given the chance, destroy any aspect of Western civilization, and any "foreign" religion.

What a salient point! I've seen Jerry on TV dozens of times using the bible as a basis for getting his followers to kill innocent civilians.
Doesn't anyone care about catching this monster (Bin Laden)? Where's the desire to find him and wipe him off the face of the earth?
