Guests and topics on today's Tony Snow Show include:

A Really Bad Idea Rep. John Murtha (R-PA) has caused a stir by saying that his military experience leads him to believe that immediate troop withdrawal would be great for Iraq. House Armed Services Chair Duncan Hunter (R-PA) will tell us why that's a really, really bad idea.

Time to Testify 202 members of Congress have signed a letter to Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, asking to allow members of Able Danger to testify before Congress. House Homeland Security Chair Peter King (R-NY) talks about why his signature's on it.

Build That Wall The US-Mexican border is a hotbed of crime and corruption. Is it time to build a wall separating the two countries?

Tony will send you a real, actual, signed photo -- not stuff that people have to download. Please pass it on.

By the way, if you miss anything, the show is streamed again immediately after the three hours. Please feel free to add thread narrative about what is aired on the show as a group effort is helpful to get more of the content posted and is much appreciated by those reading the thread later. If you’d like on or off the Tony Snow Show ping list, please post a request. All requests happily honored.

"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

I should have clarified. I will pull the lever for Republicans. But I will not ever work for them again.

:-) I am honest enough to concede that I have been guilty in the past.

I need to run to the office now (we are on Central time).

I hope that everyone has a great weekend and for all who will be away next week, Happy Thanksgiving!

One of the best articles I've seen that details what happened all those years ago. Thanks for the link to that.

This jumped out at me:

Things are improving in Iraq. Iraqi forces are getting betterm and political trends are moving in the right direction. But all signs are that our adversaries are counting on a repeat of our abandonment of Vietnam.

We owe it to the American soldiers who have been killed or wounded in Iraq and the Iraqis who have fought to create a new state to see this effort through to the end, preventing a replay of that disgraceful episode three decades ago. The Senate should be ashamed of itself.

Zarqawi has already told us what will happen if we pull out. There is no mystery there.

No John, he does NOT have a point, and you're "I'll give you your point, but..." attitude is weak and pathetic.

He is wrong, Olly says the troops are more worried about 'being pulled out before the job is done' and not 'just sick of playing IED roulette"

Stop ceding points to start your argument... remind me of ninnies like McStain

The Left should just hand the Keys to Iraq to Zarqawi. That's their ultimate goal.

I'm echoing Peach on the Murtha activism thread.

This is the kind of thing that needs to be put front and center:

John Murtha, the congressman who calls for the immediate withdrawl of troops from Iraq ACTUALLY VOTED FOR RE-INSTATING THE MILITARY DRAFT!!!

SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS!!!

Good morning, Liberty.

Either we haven't been busy enough with phone calls to our Congressmen, or they just aren't listening.

Your post wins for the most important post of the day!

We cannot survive as a nation the traitors that are doing us in.

This week we have had at least 3 overt traitorous deeds:

The admission by Rockefeller that he TOLD OUR ENEMIES EXACTLY WHAT AMERICA WAS GOING TO DO 14 MONTHS BEFORE THE IRAQ WAR STARTED.

The Traitorous Murtha's supposedly all of a sudden soul-searching comments that our military are not achieving anything and must be pulled out immediately from Iraq.

And Bill Clinton going to the Arab states and publicly professing within earshot of our very troops who are dying - that they are there for a MISTAKE!

America cannot survive these traitors. We must rise up and call them what they are: TRAITORS. And constantly repeat it. Until the word gets into the hearts and minds of Americans who will finally call enough enough and throw the bums into jail!

Murtha said the same thing in 2004 -

Murtha: Iraq ‘Unwinnable’ By Erin P. Billings and Emily Pierce Roll Call Staff May 6, 2004

Signaling a new, more aggressive line against the Bush administration’s policy on Iraq, Rep. John Murtha (Pa.), the House Democrats’ most visible defense hawk, will join Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) today to make public his previously private statements that the conflict is “unwinnable.”

...for the first time he's hearing our soldiers wonder if we are going to lose the war because of the American public.

This is just sickening. Absolutely shameful! This is why Bush and the administration needs to get out front and smack this down.
I really hate liberals. And the limpy wimpy republicans that don't know how to stand up for anything!!

God bless our troops and our cause!!

Makes you wonder what the Dems have on him... Are they holding one of his kids hostage? Threatening to release his divorce files?

How sad to see a Viet Nam vet leading the push to have another generation of brave American soldiers see their blood, sweat, soil and tears stomped into the ground.

I reserve my anger for Murtha and the low-down traitorous Democrats.

Abraham Lincoln, 27 January 1838:

" "At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. At what point, then, is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide. "
