They put him up as a "former Marine who voted for the use of force on Iraq". It's all BS PR, just like the banSheehan was sold as a "grieving Mother". Sounds like the Dems have hired the same PR firm.

Did you notice that at least three times last night a Rat made a comment on being "swift-boated" or something like that? All of the Swift Boat Vets have good military records and many of them have incredibly OUTSTANDING records

The Swift Boat Vets nclude a holder of the Medal of Honor.

The Dems are doing this simply because we are now 14 days from success in liberating Iraq. I don't think it could ever be more clear that they hope their country fails.

Right. The insurgents terrorists will step up their attacks right before the vote, and so will the Democrats.

Who were the 16 Republicans who did not vote, and what were their excuses? Illness, illness in immediate family, son in a state semifinal playoff game, daughter's wedding, out of country on previouly scheduled business, snowed in, etc. are acceptable excuses. Having won in a RAT district by playing "moderate" is not.

If you want to look into it I think you'll find he's tied to a relative of his and Nancy Pelosi's relatives.

As to Murtha, he struck me as a tired old man who's being used by the Democrats. He HAS to be totally partisan becuause otherwise he could not take such a radical position. He seems to honestly care about the troops but he does not seem to understand the political philosophy he's embracing.

Next time some "Republican" who should be supporting the President's Mission in Iraq and Our Troops decides to Speak Out--someone go out and get a Drug Test on them.

Or make sure they haven't been taken over by Pod-People from Plant Liberia or MovingOnia

Why can't WE report the news as the liberal media twists, distorts, cut& pastes and leaves out whole sentences when they try to present their own liberal agenda when giving News Briefs over the radio or TV?

Conservative News stations should report :

" Congress Rejects Iraq Exit Bill "
condensing an Associated Press release:

"The House on Friday, in a strong showing of support for President Bush's Mission in Iraq, Our Troops, the Coalition and staying the course there, overwhelmingly rejected a call for immediate troop withdrawel from Iraq.

"The House voted Strongly and Unified in a 403-3 vote , with the 3 votes for withdrawel coming from far left, extreme, radical, anti-Christian un-moral, extreme minority, left-wing , radical, extreme, radically extreme, out of the Main Street, not speaking for the majority of Americans, Liberal "Pro-Surrender to the Terroists " Democrats....who were....booed...from the chambers...with Harold Ford, D-Tenn., charging across the chambers's center aisle screaming....."

. ." Democrats said", ( about the bill to end the war immediately ) that: " (it's) A Disgrace! " declared House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Cali."

Along with, " The....absence of any sense of shame." added Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the number 2 House democrat."

" Democrats gave Murtha a standing ovation as he entered the chamber and took his customary seat..." as he too voted against the bill which over turned his previous erroneous stance of wanting to leave and thus gave his support to Staying the President's Course and Mission in Iraq."

" This whole vote reflected the non-partisan , full support the House has in backing what not only the Majority of Americans too believe, but our allies, is the best action ; that of Staying the Course and Strong Military Presense in Iraq and the middle east."

DO YOU THINK you would ever see the liberal media report a story like THAT?

But the twist the reporting to fit their own agenda:

Rep Jean Schmidt, R-Ohio, was trying to relate a story about a phone call she received from a Marine Colonel about how HE " HE asked me to send Congress a Message--Stay the Course, and to send Congressman Mutha a message - that cowards cut and run, Marines never do."

The MEDIA only aired:

" Jean Schmidt, a Republican stated on the floor, ' Cowards cut and run, Marines never do ' making it appear like SHE was the origional speaker and leaving out that this is what someone actually on the ground in Iraq with just as much Real-Time war experienced as Murtha has said from His professional war experience observations!

Anytime anyone, especially from the highest ranks of the military, makes a supporting statement concerning the war it never gets posted!-only journalist (who themsleves never served ) accuse others of speaking " out of uniform" as they put it, constantly print anti-war democrats views that when THEY finally get some GENERAL to side with them--he is a " WAR HAWK...with EXTREME Military Experience"..and how DARE any Republican who has never even wore an uniform speak agianst them! John " Shot'em in the back as they run " Kerry also made such a comment later too.

But Glad they are fighting back in DC! About time they earn their pay!

I wonder what Murtha said about the traitorous RAT-inspired pull-out and sell-out of the people of South Viet Nam, Cambodia and Laos at the end of the Viet Nam War? Did he ask the troops to pull out then? Can anyone find Murtha statements that would clarify his past positions on the VN War?

I just went over to the DUmmies site (I need a bath). I cannot believe how disconnected these people are from reality. I mean, these people are really wired up wrong.

Good letter. But I'm curious.

"...speaking as one former Marine to another..."

I thought it was 'once a Marine, always a Marine'. If you are a former Marine like Murtha...what exactly does that make you, really?
