"Homo erectus munched on crunchy, brittle and tough foods"
This may explain the lack of 4 star restaurants in San Fransisco.

I'm not sure of that. The "hobbits" were considered a subspecies of H. Erectus (but then, technically, so are H. Sapiens and H. Neanderthalensis). I have read articles wherein researchers have mde the claim H. Erectus existed in Southeast Asia until about 50k years ago, which means at least three species of humans shared the Earth at the same time.

He ate what he could find.
Nothing like a fresh pulled, gritty carrot or a raw ear of corn to make you appreciate Krogers.
