Not a very even Battle-of-Wits.

Franken was a "Not Ready for Prime Time Player" on "Saturday Night Live" long before he began hosting a radio show on Air America. He sucked then, he sucks now.

Al Franken would have a better chance of Kicking Warren Sapp's behind then of winning a debate with Scalia.

Another tidbit from todays Page Six in the NY Post:
Teresa: Bag Hag
November 23, 2005
THE salesgirls at Hermes found out what a pain Teresa Heinz Kerry can be. According to our spy, "Teresa had the bag department cornered. She was mak ing the poor girls bring her every bag. Every time another customer wanted to see a bag, she had to see it first. They were harried by her demands." When our operative asked to see a bag, one salesgirl told her, "Please. Go to the second floor."

Franken thought he could take on Scalia??? Truly, the man is dumber than I thought!

The funny thing is, I'll bet the DUmmies are running victory laps over this today, crowing about how Franken got into Scalia's face and "spoke truth to power." They're so cataclysmically stupid that they won't understand just how hard their village idiot got slapped down.

Note to AL Franken, don't bring a blow-dryer to a shoot out! Franken ended up like the bad guys with holes in their heads in the old Dick Tracy comics.

Well I have to give him his due. At least Al proved one thing. He may not be ready for prime time but he certainly exceeds the standards esatblished to be a DemocRAT US Senator. I assume he did not stagger, drool, forget his own name, lose important billing records or plagerize the question in his back bench "demeanor".

First, Scalia lectured Franken, "Demeanor is the wrong word. You mean ethics." Then he explained, "Ethics is governed by tradition. It has never been the case where you recuse because of friendship." Laura Ingraham talked about this this a.m. on her program; it was a riot to listen to hearing about how stoooopid Franken is...as if he has the smarts or ability to take on Scalia.

One can imagine Franken afterwards, smoking a bone with his Air America buddies, telling them, "Boy, I really told him off!!!" |

I wonder if the Scalia-Franken exchange was captured on film...I'd love to see it.
